All-new BMW 4 Series Gran Coupe launched in Singapore

KUALA LUMPUR: BMW Singapore lineup gets the all-new 4 Series Gran Coupe. It is offered in three variant options whose prices and names are as follows -

Let us now dig into the BMW 4 Series Coupe engine details, starting with the base 420i M Sport. Underneath the hood lies a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged mill generating maximum power of 184 hp along with a peak torque of 300 Nm. The said unit covers the century sprint in 7.9 seconds before attaining a top speed of 235 kmph.

 

The 430i is powered by the same 2.0-litre mill which is turned to pump out slightly more power and torque, i.e., 245 hp and 400 Nm. The mid-spec trim is also a little quicker with 0 to 100 kmph sprint taking 6.2 seconds.

The range-topping M440i xDrive variant, on the other hand, is powered by a massive 3.0-litre straight-six turbocharged engine with a 48V mild hybrid system. The total system output stands at 369 hp and 500 Nm of torque. On the performance front, it takes 4.7 seconds to complete a century sprint and its top speed stands at 250 kmph.

What remains common is the transmission unit, an 8-speed automatic gearbox that transmits power to the wheels.

The 430i and 440i xDrive come fitted with adaptive M Sport Suspension and showcase large19-inch wheels. As for the base 432i M Sport, it stands on 18-inch units. Also, the range-topping 4 Series Gran Coupe benefits from an M Differential.

On the inside, all the M Sport models come fitted with -

• M Sport seats
• Harman Kardon sound system
