All-new 2023 Perodua Axia ASEAN NCAP safety rating out
KUALA LUMPUR: Making headlines these days in the Malaysian auto market is none other than the new 2023 Axia hatchback. The car was revealed by Perodua a few days ago wherein its ordering book was also opened. To date, the automaker has received 3,591 bookings, most of them of the SE and AV variants.

Now, the latest Perodua is also making news with it scoring a 4-star rating at the recently conducted ASEAN NCAP crash test.
The car was able to gain an overall weighted score of 73.55%, all thanks to its enhanced safety kit which includes a total of six airbags in the highest variant, while the lower level trims still do with the two airbags only.

Another key highlight of the new Axia is the availability of Perodua’s A.S.A 3.0 advanced safety system on range-topping trims. The driver assist aids includes - lane departure warning & prevention, auto high beam, rear cross-traffic alert, and blind spot monitoring.
The car’s standard safety feature kit is no less and includes several impressive gears that bring the owner peace of mind. Part of the kit is -

- Pedestrian Protection technology
- Seat Belt Reminder System (SBR) for frontal and rear seat occupants
