Let us get to the latest Nissan a little bit better -

    2023 Nissan X-Trail powertrain

The 2023 X-Trail is offered with electrified mills including a 1.5-litre three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine. The unit pumps out a maximum power output of 163 PS along with a peak torque of 300 Nm. The drive is sent to the front wheels via an Xtronic CVT unit.

Paired with the VC-Turbo engine is a 12V hybrid system with a small lithium-ion battery to store the energy which can allow for - quick restart, extended idle stop, coasting stop, and around 6 Nm of torque assist (when the need arises).

Not to forget Nissan’s variable compression technology that is part of the car’s engine setup and allows the switch from high to low compression ratio. The former brings in fuel efficiency and the latter performance.

Nissan is also offering the compact SUV with two e-Power self-charging hybrid systems including - a 1.5-litre VC-Turbo 3-cylinder mill that generates necessary electric energy for the battery, which is then fed to the front-mounted e-motor. The setup generates 204 PS and 330 Nm of torque.

The setup is also available with the brand’s e-4 CORE system, where the second e-motor (126 hp and 195 Nm) transmits power to the rear wheels. In the all-wheel drive layout, there is a small hike in the output, 213 PS.

    2023 Nissan X-Trail performance & efficiency

Following the WLTP standard, the car’s powertrain offers 14.08 kmpl of fuel efficiency. As for the performance figures, the new X-Trail can go from 0 to 100 kmph in just 9.6 seconds and can attain a top speed of 200 kmph.

This extra power from the e-4ORCE system allows the X-trail to hit the 100 kmph mark in just 7 seconds. The top speed is rated at 180 kmph.

As for the standard e-Power setup, the car completes the century sprint in just 8 seconds and has a max speed of 170 kmph.
