All-new 2022 Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace Life: In Pictures

It was only two days back that Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia (VPCM) launched the new Tiguan Allspace Life - the third variant in the model line-up.

The 2022 Tiguan Allspace Life is the base model in the series, with the Tiguan Allspace Elegance and Tiguan Allspace R-Line being the mid-spec and range-topping trim.

Note, included with every purchase are 3 years of free maintenance, 5-years unlimited mileage warranty, and 5 years of roadside assistance.

We’ll be soon discussing the three Tiguan Allspace variants in detail, however, today let’s get to know the newest inclusion in the range and that too with the help of several images (every angle, inside-out).

So, let’s get started -

Gone are the days when family cars were just practical with no concern for style whatsoever. However, with time things changed and automakers these days are paying equal attention to family cars. With Tiguan Allspace, for instance, Volkswagen put in a lot of hard work and the result as can be seen is pretty stunning. The new design features a bold radiator grille and led lighting units with illuminated strips in between. Overall, this one is an eye-catcher.

The Tiguan Allspace Life trim comes fitted with a full LED headlight system with LED daytime running lights. The system also includes dynamic headlight range control along with dynamic cornering. The latter calls for a safer and more assuring drive.

Like at the front, the Tiguan Allspace Life rear also features a striking lighting unit. The list includes LED tail lights with dynamic indicators and dynamic functions.

The Tiguan Allspace base trim comes with a digital cockpit with a crystal clear HD screen. It offers the driver the required information with multiple themes.

What you see above is the VW’s seamless and sophisticated Discover Pro infotainment system that redefines one's driving experience. The 9.2-inch infotainment touch screen system with voice control and wireless app connect keeps the drivers and passengers connected.

Further helping out in the connectivity front, is the wireless App-Connect that allows for easy display of selected smartphone apps on the 9.2-inch touchscreen using either Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

There is no dearth of safety features even on the entry-level Tiguan Allspace Life. The list includes - six airbags, a cruise control system with speed limiter, an anti-theft alarm system with interior monitoring protection, a driver alert system, Lane Assist, rearview camera with front & rear parking sensor, ISOFIX seats for front passenger & rear, front head restraints longitudinally and height adjustable, tyre pressure load indicator, warning signal & light for the front seat, warning lamp for washer fluid level, and space & weight saving spare tyre & safety kit.

The Tiguan Allspace Life offers several storage spaces spread all over the cabin. For instance, there is one with a cover on the dashboard, overhead storage compartments, luggage compartments cover & a floor with storage compartment, and more. Also, the luggage compartment comes with a removable light that can be used as a flashlight.

The VW Tiguan Allspace Life creates a meaningful connection with every contact. For example, the 3-zone ‘Climatronic’ system offers clean air and healthy air conditioning. Also, part of the kit is an Easy Open and Close electric tailgate wherein the sensor at the rear detects a foot sweep and opens the tailgate. The car also gets electrically heated, adjustable, and foldable ORVMs, fabric front seat with manual height adjustment, keyless vehicle entry, engine start/stop button, and electromechanical parking brake with auto hold diction.

Powering the all-new Tiguan Allspace Life is a 1.4-litre four-cylinder turbo mill generating maximum power of 150 PS from 5,000 to 6,000 rpm along with a peak torque of 250 Nm from 1,500 to 3,500 rpm. The drive is sent to the front wheels via a 6-speed DSG wet dual-clutch gearbox.

Like the Tiguan Allspace mid-spec Elegance trim, the Life is also offered in five exterior hues. The list includes Oryx White with a pearl-effect finish, Deep Black with a pearl-effect finish, Atlantic Blue, Pyrite Silver, and Platinum Grey.
