Audi Malaysia’s updated lineup now includes - the Q2, Q3, Q5, A5 Sportback, Q3 Sportback, and Q5 Sportback, along with the previously offered models.

Included in the price is a 5-year, unlimited warranty along with three years of free servicing.

2022 Audi A5 Sportback: Engine

Powering the new A5 is a 2.0-litre turbo TFSI four-cylinder quattro engine generating maximum power of 249 PS from 5,000 to 6,000 rpm along with a peak torque of 370 Nm between 1,600 to 4,500 rpm.

The powertrain layout includes a 12-volt mild hybrid system, Audi’s trademark quattro all-wheel drive, and a 7-speed S Tronic dual-clutch gearbox. Together it makes the A5 Sportback capable of completing the century mark in just six seconds. The fuel economy stands at 14.08 kmpl.

2022 Audi A5 Sportback: Design language

The new A5 Sportback is an all-rounded mid-sized sedan that stands out from the crowd thanks to its amazing design and impressive sportiness. The car showcases new design elements at the front, sides, and rear that together give the 5-door Audi more depth and width than ever.

Along with the new design bit, the car also benefits from trendsetting technology like - Matrix LED headlights with dynamic turn indicators, LED tail lights with dynamic turn signals, an aggressive front bumper with sharper contours, and a rear diffuser with integrated twin tailpipes.

2022 Audi A5 Sportback: Interior comfort & tech

Like the exterior, the new A5 Sportback’s cabin also benefits from several new bits all on the design, comfort, and tech front.

On the styling side of things, the five-door sedan gets “S” embossed sports seats, decorative inserts in matte brushed aluminium trim, black headlining, an ambient lighting package, and fine Nappa leather.

Taking care of the comfort side of things is electrically adjustable front sport seats with 12-way lumbar support and memory function for the driver’s seat, sport seats in front, comfort key with safe lock, hands-free powered tailgate, push-button start, and 3-zone climate control system.

There is no dearth of space as the A5 benefits from a large cabin with much space in the luggage compartment, suitable for family road trips and leisure day outs.

Making it technological sound are features like Audi smartphone interface (Apple CarPlay or Android Auto), MMI navigation plus with 10.1-inch display & MMI touch, 12.3-inch Audi virtual cockpit plus, Audi drive select (5 driving modes), reverse camera and 180 watts Audi Sound System.

The new Audi A5 packs several new safety gears, however, it still misses out on autonomous emergency braking. What it does get is - a blind-spot monitoring system, pre-sense basic, a door opening warning, Audi pre-sense rear & basic, lane departure warning, six airbags (2 front, 2 front sides, & 2 curtains), rear cross-traffic assist, exit warning system, lane change assist, and parking aid plus rear view camera.
