All-electric Volvo XC40 Recharge Pure Electric open for booking

KUALA LUMPUR: Volvo Cars Malaysia has introduced the all-electric XC40 Recharge Pure Electric for the model year 2023 which is now open for online booking!

Charles Frump, Managing Director of Volvo Car Malaysia said, “The astounding success of the XC40 Recharge Pure Electric tells me we are moving in the right direction with our all-electric journey,”

He added, “Since the introduction of our electrification agenda, we are constantly seeking ways to improve customers’ driving experiences. With the new upgrades of the model year 2023 XC40 Recharge Pure Electric, we believe customers can expect an enhanced driving experience that provides them the freedom to move in a personal, sustainable, and safe way.”

Volvo Malaysia first introduced the XC40 Pure Electric back in March 2022. The automaker received an overwhelming response with over 400 orders registered in just two months; all delivered by June 2022. Also, the all-electric Volvo became the first car by the automaker to be made available for online booking.

Price

The 2023 XC40 Recharge Pure Electric retails for RM 278,888.

New features

The new model year 2023 XC40 Pure Electric showcases updated front and rim designs along with a new exterior hue, called FJORD BLUE. On the inside, the EV features charcoal-connected suede textile, a remote air purifier PM2.5 pre-cleaning, and an updated Foot Movement Detection Module (FMDM). Also part of the new specs kit is a new gear lever sculpted with a leather-free charcoal gear shift.

New colour options

The 2023 XC40 is offered in six striking colours including Crystal White, Silver Dawn, Black Stone, Sage Green, Thunder Grey, and new Fjord Blue.

The first locally-assembled pure electric car apart from being powerful and stylish, offers customers a safe and sustainable drive, all thanks to its zero tailpipe emissions.

In other news…

Volvo Car Malaysia also updated its XC40 series for the model year 2023. Both the new XC40 Recharge T5 Ultimate and XC40 B5 Ultimate benefit from a new design including a Dynamic Chassis. The two are priced at RM 268,888.

In addition, the automaker recently introduced the 2023 XC60 (in B5 Plus & Recharge T8 Ultimate PHEV variants), and 2023 XC90 (in B5 mild hybrid & Recharge T8 PHEV trims).
