8 out of 30 Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+ out for delivery
KUALA LUMPUR: It was back in 2019 during the Frankfurt International Motor Show when interested individuals put down deposit money for Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+. Limited to just 30 units all of which are booked, eight are now ready for delivery.
The production of this amazing car recently began at the automaker's Molsheim plant in France. Now after some two years of testing and development, Bugatti has announced the happy news, i.e., of 8 units being built and ready to go home.
This very car stunned the auto world with its record-breaking run that exceeded the magical 300 miles (480 km) per hour run for the first time. However, the customer examples are different from the top speed car. For instance, they don't feature a safety harness and roll cage. Also, it has a passenger front seat (and not a GPS data-logging gear) and a slightly higher ride height.
Note, for safety reasons, the customer cars are speed limited. We don't know the exact speed limit but it should either match or exceed the 381 kmph top speed mark of the more comfortable Chiron Super Sport. Word in the town is that Bugatti will be offering customers an option to remove the speed limit for the Ehra-Lessien test track, Bugatti is still to comment.
What powers the Chiron Super Sport 300+?
The power comes from the Chiron familiar 8.0-litre quad-turbocharged W-16, however, Bugatti has dialled the output up to 1,577 hp (1,480 hp coming from the standard model).
The Chiron Super Sport 300+ rides on a bespoke set of Michelin tyres. It also comes with an uprated cooling system and a longer and more streamlined body compared to the standard model.
