2024 Mercedes-Benz V-Class, EQV, and Vito revealed with styling and tech upgrades

2024 Mercedes-Benz V-Class, EQV, and Vito revealed with styling and tech upgrades

KUALA LUMPUR: Mercedes-Benz has given an update to its complete midsize van lineup, including three passenger models - EQV, V-Class, and V-Class Marco Polo camper and two light commercial vehicles - Vito and eVito. All new models benefit from a refreshed look and new technologies, giving them a competitive edge in the market.

KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • What’s new on the 2024 Mercedes-Benz EQV and V-Class vans?

The 2024 Mercedes-Benz EQV and V-Class vans get a new front fascia, new wheels, a new digital cockpit with dual 12.3-inch displays, new safety features, and an updated colour palette.
  • What’s new on the 2024 Mercedes-Benz Vito and eVito vans?

The 2024 Mercedes-Benz Vito and eVito vans get exterior upgrades, a 5.5-inch instrument cluster, a 10.25-inch touchscreen, and new safety tech.
  • Speaking about the exterior updates first, all vans get a new front fascia with updated grille, front bumper, and more modern intakes. The grille design of each van is different and is combined with different trims. Depending on the variant picked, the passenger models also feature an LED bar around the grille and Multibeam LED headlights. Of course, the passenger models exude more luxurious vibes than the commercial ones, boasting a more utilitarian approach.

The updated range also gets a new pair of wheels (sizes ranging from 17- to 19 inches) and an updated colour palette comprising striking tones like Kalahari gold, sodalite blue, high-tech silver, alpine grey, and vintage blue. The automaker also offers optional packages for the V-Class and its electric counterpart, accentuating their whole look.

Inside, the new V-Class and EQV gain a new digital cockpit with a single panel incorporating a 12.3-inch instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch infotainment unit. The dashboard also looks upmarket with new vents and ambient lighting.

The new Vito and eVito vans, on the other hand, come with a practical dashboard housing a 5.5-inch instrument cluster and a 10.25-inch touchscreen in a simple layout.

Parts of the enhanced driver-assistance pack are Active Lane Keeping Assist, Intelligent Speed Assist, Blind Spot Assist, and Active Distance Assist Distronic.

Upon introducing the updated midsize van lineup, Klaus Rehkugler, Head of Sales & Marketing Mercedes-Benz Vans said, “We want to offer the most desirable vans and services and play a pioneering role in e-mobility – from MPVs to motor homes and commercial vans. Our new midsize van models are another step towards achieving this goal. The more mature luxury positioning of the EQV and V-Class and the sharpened premium character of the eVito and Vito will enable us to increase our focus on high-margin regions and industries.”

Mercedes-Benz has kept the powertrain revisions of the updated van portfolio under wraps, leaving us with the impression that things are likely to remain unchanged.
