2024 Mazda CX-3 launched in Malaysia, check full details

KUALA LUMPUR: The official distributor of Mazda cars in Malaysia, Bermaz Motor, has launched the all-new CX-3 in the country. The upgraded version of the SUV continues to be offered as a fully imported model from Thailand, just like the outgoing iteration. The new Mazda CX-3 is available in three variants - 1.5G 2WD Plus, 2.0G 2WD Plus, and 2.0G 2WD High. 

Let’s know the 2024 Mazda CX-3 in detail, starting with the prices:

2024 Mazda CX-3 exterior

As for 2024, Mazda has replaced the Core variants with the Plus variants. With the name upgrade also comes a better standard equipment kit, which includes LED headlamps, LED daytime running lights, LED combination tail lights, bulb rear fog lights, LED reverse lights, auto-folding exterior mirrors, and rear parking sensors. 

The top-spec 2.0G 2WD High exclusively comes with LED front fog lamps, front parking sensors, and a powered sunroof.

2024 Mazda CX-3 interior

Inside, the new Mazda CX-3 Plus versions benefit from wireless Apple CarPlay (Android Auto connectivity is still wired) and paddle shifters. Among the continuing bits are - an 8-inch Mazda Connect touchscreen unit, leather steering wheel, manual air-conditioning, six-speaker audio system, two USB ports, a reverse camera, and fabric seats.

With the High variant also comes a heads-up display, automatic air-conditioning, Qi mobile phone wireless charger, leatherette seats, a 10-way power driver seat with memory function, a 360-degree monitor, and a self-dimming rearview mirror.

2024 Mazda CX-3 safety 

Mazda has also updated the safety kit of the SUV with 6 airbags and the i-Activsense ADAS suite is now available as standard. The latter includes - High Beam Control, Blind Spot Monitoring, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Lane Departure Warning System, and Smart City Brake Support.

2024 Mazda CX-3 engine

No changes are made to the car’s engine setup. That means, the base-spec model comes with the tried and tested 1.5-litre naturally-aspirated SkyActiv engine, which delivers a maximum power of 114 hp and a peak torque of 149 Nm. The power is sent to the front wheels via a 6-speed SkyActiv-Drive automatic gearbox. 

The higher variants, on the contrary, run on the same 2.0-litre naturally-aspirated SkyActiv engine that is good for making 154 hp and 206 Nm. It is also paired with a 6-speed SkyActiv-Drive automatic gearbox.

2024 Mazda CX-3 warranty

On the purchase of the new CX-3, Bermaz Motor offers a 5-year manufacturer’s warranty and 5-year free maintenance (including labour, parts, and lubricants). Both have a coverage period of five years and 100,000 km mileage, whichever comes earlier.
