2024 Hyundai Santa Fe now open for booking in Malaysia - 2.2 Diesel & 1.6L Hybrid options available, from RM186k

KUALA LUMPUR: Hyundai-Sime Darby Motors (HSDM) has officially opened bookings for the latest Hyundai Santa Fe in Malaysia, offering two distinct variants— a 2.2L Diesel and a 1.6L Hybrid. As part of Hyundai's fourth-generation lineup, the Santa Fe continues to offer a blend of power, efficiency, and refined design.

The Santa Fe stands out with its striking design, featuring a wide grille that incorporates Hyundai’s signature geometric pattern. The front is further enhanced by T-shaped LED Daytime Running Lights, which give the SUV a commanding road presence. From a side profile, a dynamic line runs the length of the car, adding a sporty touch. The rear design is completed by a sleek illuminated bar that connects the taillights, emphasizing the SUV’s width and stability.

Under the hood, buyers have the option of two powertrains. The 2.2L Diesel variant comes equipped with a CRDi engine, generating 202 PS and 440 Nm of torque, making it an ideal choice for long journeys. Alternatively, the eco-conscious can opt for the 1.6L Hybrid, which combines a Gamma-II T-GDi engine with an electric motor to produce 230 PS and 350 Nm of torque, promising better fuel efficiency without sacrificing performance.

Both variants also come with Hyundai's Terrain Mode selector, allowing drivers to adapt to different road conditions, including sand, snow, and mud. The diesel version further enhances its off-road capability with Hyundai's HTRAC® All-Wheel Drive (AWD) system.

Inside, the Santa Fe offers a premium experience, with a high centre console crafted from soft-touch materials, creating a more elevated seating experience for both the driver and front passenger. The layout of the controls is designed for easy accessibility, and the Terrain Mode selector is conveniently located on the centre console for quick changes between driving modes.

Technology remains at the forefront, with a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports Apple CarPlay and Androi Auto features. Dual-zone automatic climate control and a smart power tailgate further enhance convenience, while safety is covered by the Hyundai SmartSense Safety Suite.

Features such as Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, Lane Keeping Assist, and Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go are standard, and top variants come with a Blind Spot View Monitor and Surround View Monitor for added visibility.

The Santa Fe is available in four colour options—Phantom Black, Creamy White Pearl, Magnetic Grey, and Stormy Sea—each complementing its bold design. Prices range from RM185,888 to RM205,888, with a special RM10,000 early bird discount available for the first 100 bookings. Hyundai also offers a five-year/300,000 km warranty for peace of mind.
