2023 Nissan Navara Black Edition up for grabs in Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR: The official distributor of Nissan vehicles in Malaysia, Edaran Tan Chong Motor, has rolled out exciting Black Edition versions of the V and VL variants of the Navara. The new package spices up the visual appeal of these pickup trucks by adding styling accessories inspired by the top-spec PRO-4X variant. 

Nissan Navara V Black Edition 

Priced at RM13,500, the Black Edition package adds new gloss black front grille cladding, two-tone over-fenders, gloss black mirror caps, gloss black 17-inch alloy wheels, leather combination interior and V-Kool security film tinting to the Navara V.

Nissan Navara VL Black Edition 

The Black Edition package for the Navara VL is priced slightly higher at RM 14,700. While it also brings on board new gloss black front grille cladding, gloss black mirror caps, two-tone over-fenders, and V-Kool security film tinting, the exclusive highlights include a fuel tank and oil sump guards, driving video recorder, door visor, and a kicking plate.

“Ever since the PRO-4X was introduced as part of the Nissan Navara midlife makeover, the bold yet sophisticated styling of the flagship ‘Mother Trucker’ has been greatly coveted by fans of the Navara,” said Christopher Tan, the director of sales and marketing at ETCM.

“At ETCM, we go the extra mile to delight customers, hence it is my pleasure to launch the new Nissan Navara Black Edition which incorporates the visual cues of the Pro-4X flagship to the popular VL and V variants, complemented by premium accessories for an unbeatable value proposition in the pick-up segment,” he added.

No changes can be observed in terms of mechanical setup which means the Navara Black Edition models are powered by the same 2.5-litre 4-cylinder turbodiesel mill which is capable of generating a maximum power of 190 hp and a peak torque of 450 Nm. The power is sent to the wheels via a 7-speed automatic transmission paired with a 4WD system and an Active Brake Limited Slip Differential.
