2023 Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E PERFORMANCE lands in Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR: Mercedes-Benz has given a treat to Malaysian car enthusiasts in the form of the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E PERFORMANCE debut. This luxury four-door coupé is the brand’s first performance hybrid and the most powerful series-production model from Affalterbach to date. It is on display at the Malaysia Auto Show 2023, which is open to the public from May 4 to May 7, 2023.

Let’s get to know the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E PERFORMANCE key highlights - 

• The car is powered by a 4.0-litre V8 bi-turbo engine paired with a permanently excited synchronous electric motor, a high-performance battery developed by AMG and the fully variable AMG Performance 4MATIC+ AWD system
• The system churns out a maximum power of 843 hp and a peak torque of more than 1400 Nm
• Performance-wise, the car runs from zero to 100 kmph in 2.9 seconds and zero to 200 kmph in less than 10 seconds. The top speed is rated at 316 kmph
• Parts of the standard equipment are AMG RIDE CONTROL+ suspension, AMG DYNAMICS driving dynamics control system, and ceramic high-performance lightweight compound brake system

• The performance hybrid runs on 21-inch AMG forged wheels featuring a 5-twin-spoke design. These are sprayed in black and come with a rim flange having a high-sheen finish
• As for the exterior customisation, the AMG Night Package and the AMG Night Package II are available with elements finished in high-gloss black and dark chrome. Available as standard are the AMG Aerodynamics Package and the AMG Exterior Carbon package
• Exterior Colour choices include - Manufaktur Kalahari Gold and AMG Green Hell Magno, Manufaktur Classic Grey Uni, Manufaktur Olive Metallic or Manufaktur Copper Orange Magno

• The interior is kitted with a two-tone leather steering wheel, AMG Performance seats, AMG-bagged floor mats, and a panoramic roof
