2023 Maserati Levante GT Hybrid launched in Malaysia, check full details

Maserati brought its hybrid model to Malaysia in the form of the Ghibli Hybrid back in 2021 and now it expands the electrified model's lineup by introducing the all-new Levante GT Hybrid. Earlier this morning, Naza Italia, the official distributor of Maserati cars in the country, welcomed the new model. In the article, we will dive into the full details of the 2023 Levante GT Hybrid. 2023 Maserati Levante GT Hybrid price

The 2023 Levante GT Hybrid price in Malaysia starts at RM 738,000 (inclusive of local duties and taxes, before customization options, and insurance). Also, included in the price is a 3-year standard warranty coverage with no mileage restriction.

2023 Maserati Levante GT Hybrid engine specifications

Powering the all-new Maserati Levante GT Hybrid is a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder internal combustion engine mated to a 48-volt hybrid system. The latter combines a Belt Start Generator, battery, e-Booster, and a DC/DC converter. The e-Booster works in tandem with the turbocharger and offers power at lower engine speeds along with an additional boost through the use of the battery and BSG system. The engine runs at full capacity in Sport mode to fully exploit the performance while in Normal mode, it strikes a balance of consumption and performance. 

The setup churns out a total output of 330 hp and a peak torque of 450 Nm at 2,250 rpm. While the output figure is 20 hp less than the V6-powered Levante, it offers a 20% improvement in fuel consumption levels, claims the automaker.

Also part of the setup is an all-wheel-drive system and the eight-speed automatic transmission, enabling the SUV to run from a standstill to 100 kmph in 6 seconds and hit a top speed of 245 kmph. 

The hybrid car also weighs less than the V6 model, thanks to the position of the engine at the front and the battery in the rear. Also, the compact hybrid system is 20 kg less than the pure-ICE, which improves the 50:50 weight distribution and makes the car even more manageable and fun to drive.

In terms of design, the SUV boasts the brand’s new logo on the bonnet and on the C-pillar along with restyling badging on the rear. A specific trim level badge “GT” is also positioned above the three iconic air intakes on the side profile.

The imposing grille on the front which immediately catches the eye is inspired by the sensational Alfieri concept car and also pays tribute to iconic Maserati cars such as the Tipo 60 Birdcage. Among the other key exterior highlights are - full-LED Adaptive Matrix headlights, chrome-plated accents, and 20-inch alloy wheels.

The cabin of the five-seater Levante GT Hybrid features a fine blend of luxury and technology, offering drivers a comfortable and engaging driving experience. It features an 8.4-inch Touchscreen MTC+ for easy access to music, climate control, and navigation. The seats are upholstered in leather and provide excellent comfort and support while the Piano Black trim creates a sporty and sophisticated atmosphere.

Mr. Farid Sulaiman, Chief Operating Officer, Naza Italia said, “the design concept of the Levante combines coupé lines with interior space for five people and exceptional aerodynamic efficiency.” 

He further added, “The Levante GT Hybrid remains the “Maserati of SUVs” through and through, including its sound that retains the usual characteristics of any other Trident-brand car, despite being a hybrid. The sound is achieved with no use of amplifiers, solely by acting on the fluid dynamics of the exhausts and using resonators, tuned to produce that characteristic sound. From the moment you get into a hybrid Maserati onwards, you still hear the unmistakable sound of a Maserati engine.”
