2023 Lamborghini Urus Performante revealed; What makes it different from the standard Urus?
KUALA LUMPUR: During the 2022 Monterey Car Week recently concluded in California, Lamborghini yanked the silks off the all-new Urus Performante. That means the already insane Super SUV gets a power boost, faster acceleration, and some more distinctive bits that make it different from our standard Urus. Let’s know all the changes in detail.

Not to forget the Urus Performante has already set a record at this year’s Pikes Peak International Hill Climb after breaking the Bentley Bentayga’s record by 17.838-seconds.
Further adding to the performance are the updated drive modes. The SUV now comes with a new Rally mode for dirt roads, which is also tuned to have a bit of oversteer. The continuing modes include Strada, Sport, and Corsa.
Apart from gaining power, the performance model also shed some weight. It is 47kg lighter than the standard Urus thanks to the large amount of carbon fibre components used in the construction. It also adds a tag of the best-in-class power-to-weight ratio to the model.
Other key modifications that set the Urus Performante apart from the standard model are -
- It comes with the new 23-inch alloy wheels or lightweight 22-inch wheels, paired with an SUV-adapted version of the Pirelli P Zero Trofeo R performance tyres as an option.
- The SUV is equipped with a coil spring set-up, replacing the air springs we can find in the existing model
- Dimensionally, it is 25 mm longer, 16 mm wider, and 20 mm lower than the standard SUV
- The new Urus also benefits from restyled front and rear bumpers along with new vents. Also new is a rear spoiler improving downforce by 38%
- Inside, we can see Black Alcantara upholstery (leather as optional), along with a new hexagonal design for the seats
- The Performante badging is also positioned on the seats, doors, and roof lining.
- The infotainment unit and instrument panel gain new graphics exclusive to the Performante
- A Dark Package is also on offer, which adds a Matte Black finish to various elements inside the cabin
The deliveries of the 2023 Lamborghini Urus Performante in the US are set to commence by the end of the year. The Super SUV is priced at $ 260,000 (approximately equal to RM 1,165,340).
