2023 Hyundai Palisade: Detailed in pics

Hyundai Malaysia kickstarted the new year with the launch of the all-new Palisade a couple of weeks back. The latest facelift version of the SUV looks bolder and more premium and offers a roomy interior and an impressive list of features, which you can find here. In today’s story, we will be taking a closer look at the Palisade with a detailed image gallery. From exterior to interior, we'll explore all the stunning design cues and highlights that make this Korean SUV stand out from the crowd. So without further ado, let’s dive into the world of the Hyundai Palisade.

The front of the new Palisade SUV exudes a premium look and feel thanks to the large radiator grille finished in dark chrome. It features a new cascading pattern, dubbed as “Parametric Jewel,” which makes a strong visual statement.

The grille is bracketed by vertically configured daytime running lights emphasising the wide and stable stance of the front. The intricate design of the DRLs can be seen through their transparent housing, which adds a finishing touch to its bold styling.

The full LED headlights comprise LED low-beam and LED high-beam components. Also, parts of the lighting configuration are LED indications.  

Further adding a rugged touch to the front fascia are metallic-finished skid plates and bumper, boasting a daring design.

Coming to the sturdier side profile of the SUV, here we can observe a longer front overhang and adjustment of the rear overhang lending it a stronger stance. The alloy wheels measure 20 inches in size.

The rear design of the Palisade also boasts stronger stability and presence with new LED rear combination lights, new reflectors, a stout bumper, and skid plates.

The exterior colour palette has six options to choose from, including Creamy White Pearl, Graphite Grey Metallic, Moonlight Blue Pearl, Shimmering Silver Metallic, Abyss Black Pearl, and Gaia Brown Pearl.

Upon entering the SUV, you will be welcomed by a spacious cabin kitted with high-quality fit and finish.

The clean and sophisticated dash layout incorporates a hi-tech infotainment system measuring 12.3 inches. It features a striking user interface along with a split-screen layout that can let you check routes, see music information, and more all at once. The head unit also gets paired with your smartphone effortlessly and offers access to your favourite apps while on the road.

Adjacent to this screen lies a new 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster that presents graphics and text in crisp, colourful detail. The driving information can also be available on the windscreen via a 1.8-inch x 2.6-inch head-up display. It helps in minimising distractions while driving and adds to safety and convenience.

A drive mode knob is positioned on the central tunnel that can let you adjust the driving power distribution to complement your different driving styles. The available driving modes are - Eco, Comfort, Sport & Smart).

Hyundai also offers the diesel-power Palisade with the HTRAC All-Wheel Drive system promising improved traction and stability on tough terrains. It offers variable control of rear-wheel driving power with a multi-terrain controller. It includes three modes - Snow, mud, and sand.

The new Hyundai SUV houses a dual-power sunroof that lets passengers bask in natural light and fresh air during the journey. The sunroof can be controlled with the help of a switch and comes with tilting and sliding safety features for regulating the amount of light and airflow inside the car.

The facelifted model also comes equipped with a three-zone automatic air conditioning system, providing comfortable and effortless climate control for passengers. By maintaining the desired temperature, it ensures a pleasant driving experience no matter the weather outside. 

Also part of the kit is a new wireless charging pad with increased capacity (from 5 to 15 watts) offering quicker charging on the go.

When it comes to interior colour choices, Hyundai Sime Darby Motors offers you three choices - 

• Black Monotone Leather/Cloth Look
• Burgundy Nappa Leather/Cloth Look
• Warm Grey Nappa Leather/Layered Wood

So, that was the detailed gallery of the new Palisade. It is on offer in two variants - Executive (8-seater) and Luxury (7-seater), both available with either a turbo diesel or V6 petrol engine. To take this new premium SUV home, you need to shell out a minimum amount of RM 368,888 (on-the-road, without insurance) that can go as high as RM 410,888, depending on the trim selection and warranty package.
