KUALA LUMPUR: After making its global debut in March this year, the Volvo XC60 facelift now arrives in Malaysia. The revamped SUV is available in two variants - B5 Momentum and Recharge T8 Inscription Plus, priced at RM 292,266 and RM 325,449, respectively. Included in the prices are service and sales tax exemption and a five-year unlimited mileage vehicle warranty and a battery warranty of eight years/160,000 km.

The Volvo XC60 facelift is available in two variants - B5 Momentum and Recharge T8 Inscription Plus.On the exterior, the new Volvo XC60 gets subtle changes including angular lines on the front bumper, redesigned vertical slats of the grille, and extended fog lights cluster with chrome trim in the centre. There is also a full-width chrome strip on the lower portion of the bumper and redesigned pair of 19-inch wheels.
At the rear, Volvo designers ditched the exhaust outlets and added a chrome strip on the bumper that matches the front. These chrome strips are omitted on the Momentum variant, and for further contrast, it gets a different set of wheels.
Unlike the exterior, the cabin of the facelifted Volvo XC60 benefits from some significant upgrades. These include a new 9-inch portrait-style infotainment unit that is now mated to Android Automotive OS. It comes with several pre-installed Android apps such as Google Assistant, Google Maps, and Google Play Store. The new system is also able to receive over-the-air updates for completely new features.

In terms of safety, both trims are equipped with Volvo IntelliSafe advanced driver-assistance systems like Ready to Drive Notification, Pilot Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, City Safety autonomous emergency braking, Blind-Spot Information System with Steer Assist, Lane Keeping Aid, Oncoming Lane Mitigation, and more.
On the mechanical front, the XC60 Momentum is powered by a mild-hybrid 2.0-litre turbo four-popper mill that delivers a maximum power output of 250 PS and a peak torque of 350 Nm. The Recharge T8, on the contrary, takes its energy from a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged and supercharged unit good for making 320 PS and 400 Nm. It is paired with an electric motor generating 87 PS and 240 Nm that increases the total output to 407 PS and 640 Nm. As for the transmission, both mills are coupled with an eight-speed automatic transmission.
The all-new Volvo XC60 is now available in four colour options viz. Dawn Silver, Denim Blue, Crystal White, and Onyx Black.
