KUALA LUMPUR: Ford has been teasing the all-new Everest for a while and its latest teaser confirms the debut of the SUV. Based on the updated Ford Ranger pickup, the new Everest will be unveiled on March 01, 2022, in Australia via live stream on the company’s Facebook and YouTube channels.

As the SUV shares its roots with Ranger, its design cues look almost identical to the pickup. The previously teased images reveal a muscular front fascia of the SUV kitted with a 3D chrome-embellished grille, LED headlights, and C-shaped DRLs. On the rear, we observed new LED tail lights featuring an inverted ‘L’ motif. Also part of the kit is a large panoramic sunroof and silver roof rails.

Overall, the profile of the SUV appears to be simple with the dual-tone alloys on the sides spicing up things well. 

If we talk about the 2022 Ford Everest interior design, here also the stuff will be largely inspired by the Ranger pickup. These include a minimalist dashboard equipped with a portrait-style touchscreen infotainment unit with connected car tech, a digital driver’s display as well as a pickup-like steering wheel. 

As for safety, the automaker may bring onboard advanced systems like blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, cruise control, and autonomous emergency braking system.

When it comes to power, the 2022 Ford Everest SUV may borrow a new 3.0-litre V6 petrol mill from the Ranger and is also likely to continue with the existing 2.0-litre single-turbo and 2.0-litre bi-turbo diesel engines paired with manual and automatic gearbox options.

Ford claims that the upcoming Everest will be more premium and capable than ever before.
