2021 Lamborghini Urus Pearl Capsule version showcased

KUALA LUMPUR: Lamborghini Urus appeals to those who look for adventures everywhere from the city to the sand dunes, and from the countryside to ski resorts. To enhance the features and customizability of this super SUV, Lamborghini has given it an exciting entry into the third year. The automaker recently revealed the 2021 Urus with a new Capsule Design package along with some other upgrades. The package comprises new colors, carbon fiber elements, and so on. 

The Pearl Capsule package wraps the Urus in four layers of high-gloss, pearl-effect paint. For this, the available choices are Giallo Inti (Yellow), Arancio Borealis (Orange), and Verde Mantis (Green). Gloss black accents for the roof, spoiler, rear diffuser, and other bits are also included. The new Urus rides on 23-inch wheels in a mix of black and the corresponding body color. 

Inside the cabin, Lamborghini offers dual-tone upholstery, i.e., a blend of black and respective body color. The center console, door trim, dash trim, seats, and even the cupholders get the color streaks. The seats feature the hexagon-shaped Q-Citura stitching with a logo embroidered on the headrests. The carbon fibre and black anodized aluminum inserts are also added for detailing. 

Besides the Pearl Capsule package, Lamborghini has added a new Grigio Keres metallic grey color in its palette and also has some other matte paint options for black, grey, blue, and white.

Other notable modifications comprise the new key design and an updated optional Parking Assistance Package, which allows the SUV to park itself by managing steering, throttle, and brake with just the push of a button. An optional premium Sensonum sound system, with a 730 W amplifier, and 17 speakers, is also on offer.

Under the skin, 2021 Lamborghini Urus is powered by a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine churning out 650 PS at 6,000 rpm and a peak torque of 850 Nm at 2,250-4,500rpm. It reaches 100 kmph in only 3.6 seconds and peaks at a top speed of 305 kmph.

With a starting price tag of $218,009 (RM 931,811), the 2021 Lamborghini Urus is currently up for grabs in the United States and Europe. However, the availability in Malaysia remains unknown at the moment.
