2021 Jeep Renegade Impulse 'Loki' Edition up for grab in Italy

KUALA LUMPUR: A few days back, we saw a collaborative work of Hyundai and Marvel Studios in which the superheroes from the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Disney+ series promoted the next-gen Hyundai Tucson. And now here comes a new example of the movies and television shows alliance. We are talking about the American carmaker Jeep which recently revealed a limited edition Renegade in association with Marvel Studios that celebrates the launch of Loki on Disney+.

The 2021 Jeep Renegade special edition model is dubbed as Impulse. It is decked up in a blue shade with sporty black wheels and ‘Loki’ and ‘Impulse’ customised badges on the rear doors. The “Loki '' is scripted inside a clock face that pays homage to the Time Keepers shown in the series. Premiered on June 9, the show previews a different sort of Loki’s character from the series "Avengers Endgame," in which he ran away from custody using the Tesseract. 

Based on the SUV’s Limited variant, the 2021 Jeep Renegade Impulse gets a Function Package with the features like keyless entry, 18-inch wheels, a dimmable rear view mirror, dual-zone climate control, heated mirrors, and a 7-inch infotainment screen with the latest connectivity options. Cargo drawers under the front passenger seat are also on the list. As for safety, the SUV is packed with multiple airbags,

On the mechanical front, the special-edition Jeep Renegade is offered in two engine options. The first is a 1.6-litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine churning out a maximum power of 130 hp while another is a plug-in hybrid 4xe unit making 190 hp from a 1.3-litre mill while carrying an 11.4kWh battery pack. The former is mated to a front-wheel-drive system whereas the latter brings all-wheel-drive to the table.

The bookings of the special-edition Jeep Renegade Impulse are now open exclusively in Italy. The automaker has not disclosed the price tag, but we expect a premium over the Limited trim, which is priced at €29,995 (approximately equal to 148,145). Another special Renegade on offer is an 80th Anniversary model retailing at €29,050 (RM 143,478).
