KUALA LUMPUR: It was only last week when MG disclosed all the information about the new 2021 ZS, and now that car is out in the open at the 41st Bangkok Motor Show. Apart from cosmetic upgrades, the car gets a wide array of safety features and high-tech features.

2021 MG ZS Exterior

The new MG crossover features a shaper front look thanks to the refreshed grille, revised headlights with LED (optional), and new front bumper with the faux side plate. On the sides, we see turbine-style 17-inch alloy wheels. The rear, meanwhile gets new LEDrim taillights, aluminium trim, and a smooth bumper,

2021 MG ZS Interior

The car features several cabin features though the styling remains the same as the previous model. The seats in the cabin are wrapped in two-tone leather upholstery with contrast stitching. Besides, the cabin features 60:40 split rear seats, panoramic sunroof, piano black accents, power-adjust driver’s seat, and electronic parking brake. Following are the new tech and connectivity features added to 2021 ZS specs sheet -

• New 7-inch digital instrument panel
• Advanced multi-instrument cluster
• Advanced multi-info display
• 10-inch touch screen with navigation, Apple CarPlay, and
• Android Auto, and navigation

Besides, the car comes equipped with the I-Smart Intelligent System that allows users to activate several features remotely like online music, automatic climate control, check the weather, look for a point of interest, and more.

2021 MG ZS Engine

The new MS crossover is powered by a 1.5-litre naturally-aspirated 4-cyl engine making 114 PS at 6000 rpm and 150 Nm torque at  4500 rpm. An 8-speed manual transmission now replaces the 4-speed automatic gearbox with CVT.

2021 MG ZS Safety

As mentioned earlier, the MG car comes with a plethora of smart and intelligent safety features. These include - 6 airbags, 360-degree around-view mirror, ABS with EBD, stability control, and real-time tire pressure monitoring system.

With the Thai market getting its share of new MG crossover, we hope that Malaysia gets its fair to attention from carmakers.
