2019 Mazda CX-8 launched in Thailand

KUALA LUMPUR: Mazda CX-8 has been officially launched in Thailand in four variants - 2.5 S, 2.5 SP, XDL, and XDL Exclusive. Among all the variants, XDL Exclusive comes with a six-seat configuration, while all other variants offer a seven-seater configuration. All the variants will be made available in six color options.

The base CX-8 variants 2.5 S and 2.5 SP are equipped with 2.5-litre SkyActiv-G four-cylinder engine that runs on petrol and delivers 194 PS power at 6,000 rpm and 258 Nm torque at 4,000. XDL and XDL Exclusive variants, on the other hand, equip 2.2-litre SkyActiv-D turbodiesel power engine that delivers 190 PS at 4,500 rpm and 450 Nm at 2,000 rpm. While the XDL Exclusive gets all-wheel drive, rest of the variants are front-wheel drives.

All four variants are fitted with 19-inch wheels. The exterior of the car has a delightful look. It gets LED projector headlamps and daytime running lights. XDL Exclusive gets LED fog lamps on top of them.

Surprisingly, the interior of the car gets almost all the features standard across all the variants. Mazda CX-8 specs sheet features include electronically-adjustable front seats, head-up display on the windshield, Deep Red Nappa leather upholstery, triple-zone climate control, a 4.6-inch long multi-information display etc. The XDL Exclusive variant gets a ten-speaker Bose sound system instead of the standard six-speaker system.

In terms of pricing, the Mazda CX8 2.5 S price tag reads 1.599 million baht (RM 2,19,674), 2.5 SP for 1.699 million baht (RM 233,412), XDL and XDL Exclusive for 1.899 million baht (RM 260,924) and 2.069 million baht (RM 2,84,282) respectively.
