Suzuki GSX-S750 Design

The Suzuki GSX-S750 has got the right muscle and size for a premium middleweight motorcycle. However, the motorcycle has remained unchanged for many years now, which shows its age. For the current day and age, when there are much more modern-looking motorcycles out there, the Suzuki GSX-S750 looks a bit dated.

However, the Suzuki GSX-S750 still looks decent with its edgy and muscular appeal. At the front, the motorcycle gets a sharp face, with a striking-looking headlamp within a busy-looking cowl. The headlamp here is a halogen unit, with the clear lens turn indicators flanking it also begin halogen unit. The golden-coloured forks at the front do add a premium touch to the motorcycle.

Move towards the side, and the Suzuki GSX-S750 shows the best of its muscularity. The fuel tank is large and is the biggest contributor to its butch appeal. There are large Z-shaped fuel tank extensions, which flow downwards, thus making the motorcycle look athletic. The multi-spoke alloy wheels and engine are finished in a theme of black, with the latter getting a small but very purposeful cowl below it.

Towards the rear, the Suzuki GSX-S750 continues to possess a sporty aura, with a nicely finished upswept exhaust pipe with a silver shield and a steeply rising tail section. In a true naked sports fashion, the Suzuki GSX-S750 gets split seats, with the pillion seat-mounted high on the rising tailpiece. The tailpiece ends up with a small LED tail lamp nestled at its back, with the Suzuki GSX-S750 getting a proper and functional rear fender.

The Suzuki GSX-S750 comes with a simple-looking but very informative fully-digital instrument console, which packs in speedometer, tachometer, fuel gauge, odometer, trip meters, gear indicator, selected ride mode, and multi-information display, which shows average fuel consumption, instantaneous fuel consumption, and distance-to-empty. While there are not many features and fancy LED illumination at the front, the Suzuki GSX-S750 has a very impressive fit and finish levels.

GSX-S750 Ride & Handling

The Suzuki GSX-S750 gets a simple mechanical construction, with the suspension setup having a combination of upside-down hydraulic telescopic forks at the front and a link-type mono-shock at the back. The bike gets 310mm dual discs at the front and a single 240mm disc at the rear. Riding on 17-inch alloy wheels, the Suzuki GSX-S750 gets a 120/70 ZR17 tyre at the front and a 180/55 ZE17 tyre at the back.

Suzuki GSX-S750 Engine & Fuel Consumption

The Suzuki GSX-S750 is powered by a smooth and refined four-stroke, liquid-cooled, inline-four, 749cc engine, which is easily the most noteworthy highlight of the overall package. Coupled with a 6-speed gearbox, this engine pumps out a maximum power output of 114 PS and a maximum torque output of 81 Nm. The engine feels refined and powerful throughout its rev range, which makes it extremely usable irrespective of the gear you are riding in.

GSX-S750 Braking & Safety

For a modern-day motorcycle, the Suzuki GSX-S750 lags behind its direct rivals when it comes to the level of equipment and electronic riding aids. The Suzuki GSX-S750 gets only a dual-channel ABS and a three-level traction control system in its overall package.

Suzuki GSX-S750 Verdict

The Suzuki GSX-S750 might not be as feature-rich as any other premium middleweight motorcycle. However, what it impresses with is the level of refinement and excellence in its mechanical setup. Like a true Japanese motorcycle, it is high on refinement and is easy to ride and maintain as compared to any other middleweight motorcycle, which makes it an easy stepping stone for those who wish to upgrade from a smaller 250-300cc motorcycle.
