Suzuki GSX-S1000

The larger petrol tank on the GSX-S1000 has a capacity of 19 L to decrease the need for frequent gas stops when commuting or on lengthy journeys. The previous gasoline tank capacity of the GSX-S1000 was 17.0 L. The redesigned front seat is intended for comfortable sports riding and has a foam shape modification that provides good support at the rear of the seat while allowing the rider to move freely.

With a height of 810 mm (31.9 inches), the seat is now lower, contributing to the dynamic, yet upright riding stance and enhancing rider confidence at stops. The rear seat has a new design to fit the angular look of the GSX-S1000 and is higher on the motorbike so the passenger can see over the rider's shoulder. It still has plenty of cushioning and a holding strap. A robust, weather-resistant cover covers both seats, providing a superb balance. The styling is intended to convey an aggressive attitude. The straight, sharp lines emphasize a modern motorcycle of high quality. 

The Suzuki GSX-S1000 boasts an exquisite ride quality. The handlebars are placed wide apart without giving the impression of being on a bucking bronco, but the broad handlebars are there for a reason, as we quickly discovered. The complete LCD instrument display was crisp and visible right away, albeit the black-on-grey reading could have used a little more contrast. With those broad handlebars, hustling the Gixxer into and around the corners was a breeze, and it provided us something to grip when the throttle and engine responded a bit too rapidly for us to catch up with.

The GSX-S is quick to get into the turns and has excellent handling. The suspension on this naked GSX is set up with 43 mm KYB upside-down forks that are completely adjustable and did an excellent job, never being obtrusive or requiring any adjustments from the factory settings. The handling of this beautiful ride is close to perfection. The Suzuki drive mode selector is one of the premium features of the handling section.

The long-stroke engine in the GSX-S1000 has been improved to create a broad, smooth torque curve over the whole rpm range, as well as enhanced peak horsepower. The 999cc engine produces around 145 hp power and an incredible torque of 106 Nm at 9,500 RPM.

The GSX-S1000 offers a predictable and controlled throttle response, as well as enough top-end power, for a thrilling riding experience. New camshaft profiles reduce lift and valve overlap to cut emissions while also balancing the engine's performance and drivability, giving the rider more control.

To help performance and increase longevity, new valve springs have been matched to the new camshaft.  To minimize friction and increase longevity, the cam chain tensioner and tension adjustment have been modified. The cylinder head is machined with Suzuki's famed Twin Swirl Combustion Chamber (TSCC) design, which provides an ideal 12.2:1 compression ratio with the flat-top pistons, helping to give a broad distribution of power across the rev range. Aluminium pistons with optimum stiffness are produced using the Finite Element Method (FEM) analysis. The engine has been built to sustain the toughest conditions.

The braking system of the Suzuki GSX-S1000 is terrific. It utilizes the front and rear disc brakes to provide ample stoppage power to the vehicle. This ride also equips a variety of safety features like the pass switch, stability control, engine check warning, and many other such features.

The Suzuki GSX-S1000 is the perfect ride for ardent riders considering the various features associated with it. The incredible Suzuki Drive Mode Selector, the Ride-by-wire electronic throttle system, the Suzuki Traction Control system combine to provide seamless performance and an incredible ride experience.
