Recent Updates of KLX150BF
Though there is no major update related to 150 BF in the local market, the Indian arm of the Japanese manufacturer is hinting towards the inclusion of 150 BF in its lineup. An off-road-capable motorbike with a lean overall design is the KLX 150BF. It has a single-piece seat, a halogen headlight with bulb indicators, and high front and rear fenders. Kawasaki KLX150BF Review 2024
The KLX150BF sits at the bottom of the Kawasaki’s dual purpose motorcycle lineup as it is the smallest offering in this special category of motorcycles. However, despite its compact size, the bike seems very promising, considering the fact that it shares its underpinnings with the very capable KLX150. The KLX150BF also happens to be the most practical dual purpose motorcycle from Kawasaki, courtesy the real-to-use features present on the motorcycle. Kawasaki has priced the KLX150BF at RM 11,050 and has made it available in only one paint shade of yellow.

Kawasaki KLX150BF Design
Compared to the rest of the dual purpose motorcycles from Kawasaki, the KLX150BF emerges out as a very practical package, thanks to the presence of many features.
At the front, the KLX150BF comes adorned with a proper headlamp unit enclosed in a very small fairing, besides which are positioned the small turn indicators. The high mounted front fender is small in size, however, it does add to the aggressive stance of the motorcycle.
The lean stance of the motorcycle is in its strongest form when you see it from sideways. The thin fuel tank is surrounded by sleek and pointy body cowls, which extend all the way towards the rear. In the middle sits a small and totally flat single piece seat, which though is best suitable for only rider at a time. Like its other stablemates, the KLX150BF too comes with a side mounted under-seat exhaust pipe with a plain white plastic cover over it.
At the rear, the KLX150BF comes with a proper and functional long rear fender, at the top of which sits a small tail light flanked with turn indicators on both the sides. The KLX150BF features a very sleek and simple looking instrument console, with a round analog speedometer positioned on the right and tell-tale lights placed towards its left. The analog fuel tank is positioned in between the speedometer and tell-tale lamps, thus rounding off the unit. The KLX150BF also comes fitted with round rear view mirrors and electric starter, some things which are not there on the KLX150.
KLX150BF Ride & Handling
The dual-purpose motorcycles from Kawasaki are well known to have light weight yet sturdy underpinnings, and the KLX150BF is not a different story in isolation. The motorcycle sits on a steel perimeter frame and tips the weighing scales at just 118kg of kerb weight. Riding on 21-inch front wheel and 18-inch rear wheel, the KLX150BF comes equipped with 35mm inverted telescopic forks at the front and a uni-trak swingarm with 5-step adjustable monoshock at the rear. The overall suspension is set on a slightly stiffer end to make it agile and sharp around corners on all kinds of surfaces. When it comes to brakes, the KLX150BF has been fitted with 240mm petal disc at the front and a single 190mm petal disc at the rear.
Kawasaki KLX150BF Engine & Fuel Consumption
Powering this smallest dual purpose motorcycle from Kawasaki is a four-stroke, single cylinder, air cooled, carbureted, 144cc motor. This engine is capable of pumping out a maximum power output of 12 PS and a peak torque output of 11.3 Nm, thus putting it in the periphery of other similarly-spec 150cc commuters in the market. The engine has a good amount of torque available in the mid-range, which makes it equally ride-able in both city as well as off-road conditions. The engine here is mated to a 5-speed gearbox.
KLX150BF Braking & Safety
Given its entry-level positioning, it is pretty expected that the Kawasaki KLX150BF misses out on many safety aids, including the very crucial ABS, in order to keep the costs in check. However, the disc brakes at both the ends are very capable in stopping this light-weighted machine with ease.
Kawasaki KLX150BF Verdict
Compared to all the other dual-purpose motorcycles from Kawasaki, the KLX150BF emerges out to be the most practical motorcycle. Be it styling, list of features, engine tuning and suspension setting, the KLX150BF makes up for a practical motorcycle. At the same time, it does offer the thrills of a motocross motorcycle, thanks to the very light kerb weight as well as stiff suspension, thus aiding in the fantastic handling it offers.
