Honda CBR250RR Review 2024
Abhishek Katariya says
Honda is easily widely recognized as well as one of the most trusted automobile companies around the world. Known for crafting some of the best machines to conquer the markets, the automaker has a vast lineup from 110cc motorbikes to 1000cc. However, it’s the flagship CBR that is the centerpiece of attention for Honda lovers. Marking its presence in the market since 1983, the CBR lineup has been adorned by some of the best performers, especially in the 250cc segment.
The CBR 250 has been a benchmark of quality in the segment. Currently, in its fifth generation, the officially launched 2021 Honda CBR250RR is simply outstanding. starting right from its sporty yet elegant design to its tech-laden features, the bike is so far, the best by Honda. With a design feature that is similar to the 1000RR sibling, the 250RR is more powerful and comfortable. Further, with three riding modes available, the 250RR is like a dream come true for fellow bikers.

Honda CBR250RR Design
Exploring a bit more around the design feature, we can say that Honda has clearly given the 2021 CBR1000RR a generational upgrade in terms of its styling. The approach is completely new. The Honda CBR250RR is a fantastic-looking motorcycle, certainly is a big bike if you look at it front the front. It has a sharp front all-led headlamp along with the LED DRLs above it. The DRLs do complete justice in adding to the razor-sharp looks of the bike.
The perfectly sculpted fuel tank allows the rider to easily grip onto the motorcycle with their thighs. It's the dual-pod exhaust which looks sporty and sounds good, might be overkill for some. CBR2500RR is also equipped with a very stylish and informative fully digital instrument cluster. The overall design of this Honda is sharp and aggressive.
CBR250RR Ride & Handling
Honda CBR 250RR comes with three different riding modes, Sport, Comfort, and Sport+, where the rider can switch between them with the help of the switchgear buttons. Just the way expect, from a Honda engine, the performance is linear, which means the power is not concentrated in the top-end only and you can pull off 25km per hour speed without any lags.
Although it looks big, the handling is very easy during tight turns and busy traffics. The seating position of the pillion is off-set i.e., the split rear seat is positioned higher than normal. The seats are decently cushioned.
Honda CBR250RR Engine & Fuel Consumption
Powering the mighty CBR250RR is a liquid-cooled, twin-cylinder 249.7cc engine that features a DOHC setup and 8 valves which might not sound that powerful but gives a high-quality performance. The engine creates 25 Nm of peak torque at 11000 rpm and gives out improved power output at 40 hp, better than its previous generation offerings. The engine provides a mileage of 25 KMPL. Thanks to Honda’s accessibility-centered design, the bike is accompanied by a 6-Speed transmission gearbox with assist and slipper clutch.
CBR250RR Braking & Safety
The new CBR250RR uses a pair of USD front forks and rear mono-shock for its suspension setup. The front side of the bike has a dual-piston caliper whereas the rear has a single-piston caliper resulting inane a more powerful braking setup.
In a nutshell, the braking and safety features are basic but very helpful. The front disc brake and the rear disc brake are very effective. Some other safety features of the bike are ABS, Engine Check Warning, Pass Switch and Side Reflectors, etc. However, the inclusion of the launch control, shutter lock, and the Anti-Theft alarm could have been useful additions.
Honda CBR250RR Verdict
The new CBR250RR is launched for RM 25,999, which is completely justifiable for a bike of this class. Both the performance and features make it a great buy for new as well as experienced buyers. The overall performance and the outer looks of this Honda CBR250RR are commendable. Currently priced at RM 25,999, the bike is certainly a bit on the higher side of the scale but not a big price for the enthusiasts who’d like to get more of a premium riding experience.
