The Harley Davidson Road King Special is one highly impressive motorcycle, as it looks massive and has a charming and extremely premium appeal all around. With the large dimensions and extra large essence in everything, the motorcycle has a striking road presence even at standstill.

At the front, the Harley Davidson Road King Special gets a shark-head-inspired semi-fairing, which houses the twin rounded all-LED headlamp right in the middle inside a rounded rectangular housing. This semi-fairing looks large and has a curved design on the sides, and also comes attached with a transparent windscreen above it and small and rounded turn indicators attached to the lower sides.

On the side, the Harley Davidson Road King Special comes with several elements which add to its gargantuan appeal of it. The peanut-styled fuel tank, the curved covers around the points where the exhaust pipes begin and the side body panels below the rider’s seat are finished in body paint. On the other hand, the engine and twin exhaust pipes with one on either side are finished either in black or chrome. However, the motorcycle comes standard with alloy wheels.

Towards the rear, the Harley Davidson Road King Special comes equipped with large-sized panniers on either side of the huge rear fender. It also gets an additional luggage carrier behind the cushioned backrest, which is placed behind the pillion seat of the motorcycle. In the middle, there are two large analogue gauges for the speedometer and tachometer in the lower part, while the upper part houses a full-coloured TFT display for navigation and audio system, which is compatible with Bluetooth, USB and iPhone. There are two small analogue gauges for the fuel gauge and temperature gauge beside the TFT screen.

Under the huge-looking body of the Harley Davidson Road King Special, there is a fine-tuned chassis, which comprises a suspension unit including 49mm dual-bending valve hydraulic telescopic forks at the front and hand-adjustable mono-shock at the rear. The bike comes equipped with dual disc brakes at the front and a single disc brake at the rear, with the tyre combination of 130/70-B18 front and 180/65-B18 rear tyres.

The mammoth Harley Davidson Road King Special is powered by a huge four-stroke, air-cooled, V-Twin, Milwaukee-Eight 1868cc engine, which powers most of the cruisers and touring motorcycles from Harley Davidson. Paired with a 6-speed gearbox, this engine produces 95 PS of maximum power and 166 Nm of maximum torque. With an ample amount of torque available in the midrange, the Harley Davidson Road King Special is one effortless cruiser that can feel relaxed even at triple-digit speeds all day long.

Apart from a dual-channel ABS, the Harley Davidson Road King Special misses out on all the modern-day sophisticated electronic riding aids, which is a huge miss for a motorcycle of this price.

Keeping the lack of riding aids aside, the Harley Davidson Road King Special is one supremely premium and highly desirable motorcycle, which is rich in visual appeal, smooth-riding performance, and comfortable ride quality.
