Ducati Streetfighter V4

The new Ducati Streetfighter V4 is a perfect tribute to the motorcycle of the same name from the past, following its predecessor’s cutting edge and focused design and taking it to the next level. While the original silhouette is the same, Ducati has made efforts in making it look more aggressive and edgier in its appearance.

Based on the design of the Panigale V4, the Ducati Streetfighter V4 gets a rakish and wide-looking headlamp unit, which comes with a dual LED setup for the headlamps with eyebrow-shaped daytime running LEDs above them. The headlamp also comes garnished with a compact cowl above it, and that completes the motorcycle’s front fascia. The upper corners of the headlamp come attached with ELD turn indicators.

The Ducati Streetfighter V4 is one of those few naked roadsters in production which come adorned with aerodynamic fins attached to its side profile. These fins, along with a vertically-mounted radiator cowl and a completely exposed engine, make the side profile look properly sporty. Even the muscular and well-sculpted fuel tank, which has been shared with the Panigale V4, adds to the visual appeal of the Ducati Streetfighter V4 as a no-nonsense full-blown naked roadster. The engine here comes finished in a theme of golden, and get exhaust pipes beneath it, just like in the Panigale V4.

The Y-shaped blacked side body panels flow towards the aerodynamically styled tailpiece of the Ducati Streetfighter V4, which again is shared with the Panigale V4. The tailpiece has a tiny pillion seat above it and hollows within it, along with an LED tail lamp in the middle. The multi-spoke black alloy wheels go well with the design and look even better with the single-sided swing arm at the rear.

Going with the new trends, the Ducati Streetfighter V4 comes armed with a modern 5-inch full-TFT instrument console, which is easily one of the coolest and most informative clusters among high-end motorcycles today.

Apart from the engine, many other mechanical components of the Panigale V4 have made their way into the Ducati Streetfighter V4 as well. This hyper-naked roadster from Ducati comes with 43mm BPF fully-adjustable inverted telescopic forks at the front and a fully-adjustable Sachs mono-shock with a single-sided swingarm at the rear. While the ride quality is on the stiffer side and the pillion comfort also takes a hit, the overall suspension setup’s stiffness makes it agile to ride. The Ducati Streetfighter V4 also features a Sachs steering damper and Pirelli Diablo Rosso Corsa 2 super-sticky tyres. To bring this manic roadster to a halt, Ducati has kitted it with dual 330mm discs with radially-mounted Brembo Stylema callipers at the front and a single 245mm disc at the rear.

As expected, the Ducati Streetfighter V4 has been bestowed with the same four-stroke, liquid-cooled, Desmosedici Stradale 90-degree V4, 1103cc engine, which also powers the Panigale V4. Paired to a super slick 6-speed gearbox, this engine pumps out an incredible power output of 208 bhp and a torque output of 123 Nm, which make it one of the most powerful production roadsters ever produced.

The impressively long list includes riding modes, power modes, cornering ABS EVO, traction control EVO 2, wheelie control EVO, slide control, engine brake control EVO, auto tyre calibration, power launch and up and down quick-shifter EVO 2.
