CFMoto 800 NK

For those who want a stunning-looking motorcycle with tons of distinctiveness, the CFMoto 800NK scores heavily on that front. This motorcycle looks edgy and dramatic from whichever angle you look at it, making it one of the most futuristic-looking motorcycles on sale right now and very Italian in its appeal.

The edginess in the design of the CFMoto 800NK is very evident right from the front, with the motorcycle having a slim-looking Y-shaped all-LED headlamp, which also integrates the daytime running LEDs within it. There is a compact V-shaped panel above the headlamp, above which the frontal part of the instrument console is visible. The compact and pouncing-forward design for the front fender is as aggressive as the rest of the design and comes in a dual-tone treatment.

The CFMoto 800NK looks the best and the most striking when you view it from the side, with the motorcycle having a supremely aggressive design for the large-sized fuel tank, which covers up most of the visual bulk and look of the motorcycle. The large and pointy fuel tank extensions placed ahead of the fuel tank and covering half of the exhaust pipes come with LED turn indicators mounted on them.

While moving towards the rear, the CFMoto 800NK has a floating tail section, on which the split seat arrangement of the motorcycle is placed. The motorcycle comes with a high-mounted single-sided exhaust pipe, while the compact tail section ends up with an LED tail lamp that resembles ‘devil’s horns’. The 17-inch alloy wheels have contrast red striping, while the rear tyre has a tiny hugger placed over it, which rounds up the look of the motorcycle from the back.

Another element that makes the CFMoto 800NK look outrageous and very modern is the portrait-styled 5-inch TFT instrument console, which comes with split screen displays for the display of various data while on the go, and that too with multiple display modes. Among all the NK range of roadsters from CFMoto, the 800NK easily displays the best fit and finish levels.

CFMoto has given the 800NK top-notch hardware of the highest quality possible, with the motorcycle getting a KYB suspension setup comprising of adjustable upside-down telescopic forks at the front and adjustable mono-shock at the rear, both of which offer 130mm travel. Featuring J.Juan callipers and brake masters, the braking setup of the 800NK includes 320mm dual discs at the front and a single 260mm disc at the rear. 

Powering the CFMoto 800NK is the brand’s most powerful and largest-in-size motorcycle engine, which displaces 799cc and has a parallel-twin layout. Paired with a 6-speed transmission, this engine claims 95 PS of maximum power and 79 Nm of maximum torque output. CFMoto claims a top speed of 220 kmph for the 800NK, which makes it one of the fastest motorcycles in its category.

Along with a dual-channel ABS, the CFMoto 800NK also comes equipped with other safety features like an assist and slipper clutch, quick-shifter and riding modes. However, for the price and segment to which it belongs, we would have loved to see more riding aids on offer in the CFMoto 800NK.

For a middleweight motorcycle, which is already crowded with potent offerings from global brands, the CFMoto 800NK carves a niche for itself with its outrageous styling, which immediately becomes the centre of attention wherever it goes. While the motorcycle is decently sorted in terms of performance handling, it could have had more features to justify its premium appeal and pose itself as a strong rival to its Japanese and European competition.
