The interior is as elegant as you’d expect and even more so the R-Design variants. It features ambient LED lighting, a 7” integrated multimedia display and numerous safety and driver aids. Engine options range from a 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine producing 190 hp and 300 Nm of torque to a 245 hp and 350 Nm in the T5. Transmissions also vary between the two with the T4 getting a six-speed automatic while the T5 got an eight-speed unit. Prices vary similarly with the T4 costing RM 154658 and the T5 costing RM 180888. Now, however, Volvo has discontinued the V40 in the Malaysian market.
