What features does the Peugeot 3008 get?
The Peugeot 3008 has been designed in a way that it exudes an assertive character. The front end has received many significant updates including a new vertical ‘fang-like’ daytime running light that has been integrated with the main lighting cluster. The detail and quality of the metal surfaces are outstanding. It has set a benchmark that is within this price range. The hands-free power tailgate closes or opens the motorized tailgate of the vehicle and gets activated by waving your foot.
The cabin is very spacious. The highlight is the panoramic sunroof. The blend of flowing dashboard layout and premium materials gives it an attractive feel. The i-Cockpit setup needs adjustment, as above the small steering wheel drivers can view the digital instrument cluster, but it remains well-designed and logical. Standard leather seats offer next-level comfort for all passengers. Electric adjustments are available for the front passenger and driver. However, it lacks thigh adjustment which is a drawback for a few people.
How spacious is the Peugeot 3008?
The Peugeot 3008 is a well-proportioned SUV measuring 1,628 mm in height, 1,850 mm in width, and 4,510 mm in length. At the front, the suspension system comes with a MacPherson strut setup and at the rear it features a torsion beam, leading to a comfortable ride. It comes with 225/55 R18 alloy wheels that enhance its aesthetic.
Inside, it will impress you with its occupant comfort and rear seat space all thanks to the flat floor. Passengers can enjoy generous leg and shoulder room, making it a great option in its segment. Its boot space is around 591 liters, and when you fold down the second-row seats, it expands to 1,670 liters, making it a great choice for larger cargo needs. While you may not consider the Peugeot 3008 to be very practical it excels in this department. Storage compartments are thoughtfully designed and abundant, especially the spacious center console cubby where you can keep essentials organized. It is a versatile choice for both longer trips and daily use.
What engine and transmission options are available?

Its driving experience and design are quite captivating, setting a benchmark in the segment. While the spec sheet claims outstanding features, the capability and allure of the 3008 don’t match its overall value proposition. This may leave some customers feeling disappointed as they may not feel they are getting the full package. Despite its strengths, the 3008 Peugeot falls short in a few areas, which could deter those looking for a comprehensive offering.

Peugeot 3008 Interior & Features
Even the interior of the Peugeot 3008 successfully hides its age, thanks to the unique-looking layout that makes it a refreshing and futuristic-looking place to be in. Adding more desirability to the cabin of the Peugeot 3008 is its long list of features on board.
The two-spoke multi-functional steering wheel of the Peugeot 3008, which has flat upper and lower edges and gloss black and satin chrome inserts, looks cool, and so does the full-TFT instrument console sitting behind it. The steering wheel has a slightly elevated 12.3-inch full-TFT instrument console behind it, which features funky-looking display options.
The centre console of the cabin of the Peugeot 3008 has a wraparound design with a free-standing 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system placed at the top. This infotainment screen has sleek-looking angular AC vents below it, from where the lower centre console emerges with toggle-like switches and a wireless charging pad below it. With a panoramic sunroof, push start-stop button, leather upholstery, dual-zone automatic climate control with rear AC vents and a 6-speaker audio system, the cabin of the Peugeot 3008 feels rich and premium.
3008 Exterior
The overall design of the Peugeot 3008 is now a few years old, but that has not affected its desirability. With an extrovert design language comprising sharp-looking elements and dramatic creases, the Peugeot 3008 looks bold and attractive to the eye.
The frameless design for the slim-looking grille of the Peugeot 3008 is the first thing that catches one’s attention, and so does the inverted U-shaped headlamps that come with LED projectors within them and sleek LED DRL strips that stretch down towards the front bumper. With black scoops on the far edges, the front bumper also has body cladding at the bottom, which stretches to the side and rear profiles of the SUV.
The Peugeot 3008 has muscular bulges over the front and rear fenders, which make the SUV look larger than it is. Large 18-inch ‘Los Angeles’ machined alloy wheels and chrome garnish over the window panels add more premium appeal to the side profile. From the back, the Peugeot 3008 looks wide and sporty, thanks to the horizontally stretched clear lens LED tail lamps with a smoked effect design and broad-looking C-pillars.
Peugeot 3008 Ride & Handling
With conventional Macpherson struts at the front and a torsion beam at the rear, the Peugeot 3008 has well-sorted driving dynamics, despite its high ride height. With a good balance of ride quality and sportiness in its steering and suspension feedbacks, the Peugeot 3008 feels even more lively and involving to drive with the four traction modes – Normal, Snow, Mud and Sand – and 18-inch wheels.
3008 Engine & Fuel Consumption
Powering the front wheels of the Peugeot 3008 is a 1.6-litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine which has been shared with the Peugeot 408 fastback crossover. However, the engine here is in a lower state of tune, claiming 168 PS of maximum power and 240 Nm of maximum torque output. Paired with a 6-speed automatic gearbox, this engine feels refined and has an impressive top-end, though the bottom-end performance could have been stronger.
Peugeot 3008 Braking & Safety
Besides the essentials like tyre pressure monitoring system, ABS with EBD and brake assist, front, side and curtain airbags, electronic stability program, dynamic stability control, advanced grip control, hill start assist, hill descent control, front and rear parking sensors and reverse camera, the Peugeot 3008 also has a few ADAS features in its arsenal, such as blind spot monitoring, active lane keep assist, speed limit recognition and driver attention warning.
3008 Verdict
Despite being a few years old now, there is no drop in the desirability and attractiveness of the Peugeot 3008, thanks to its cutting-edge design inside-out, premium quality, and feature-rich interior. With decent performance from its turbocharged petrol engine and well-sorted ride and handling balance, the Peugeot 3008 is one practical SUV that appeals equally to drivers of all age groups.
