Introduction:

Nissan Sylphy previously known as Nissan Bluebird Sylphy is a compact sedan that was introduced years ago. In Malaysia, there are two variants available like 1.8E and 1.8VL. Unlike the earlier versions, the new Sylphy has redefined body structure that revive the brand's existence competing hard against Honda Civic, Toyota Altis, and Hyundai Elantra. All thanks to the improved frame, high-quality lined inner trim and safety features packed that made this car people's choice to travel in and out the city in optimal comfort feel.

Engine, mileage & variants:

The strength of the powerful engine mechanized in both the Nissan Sylphy variants is a MRA8DE 1.8-litre, DOHC based, in-line petrol engine. It produces a remarkable power of 131ps at 6000 rpm along with a maximum torque of 174Nm at 3600rpm. This engine lacks in delivering exceptional count of fuel economy, but yes, you can get better fuel output of 15.6 kmpl. It is integrated with twin continuously variable valve timing control (CVTC) system that regulates both intake and exhaust valve openings. Its XTRONIC continuously variable transmission (CVT) allow smooth gearshift pattern and effortless acceleration numbers.

Exteriors:

The elegant styling of the all New Nissan Sylphy offers a true sedan with the refined distinctive exterior features. Its stylish front is allocated with chrome grille, fog lamps and Projector Xenon with LED accentuated headlamps that makes it look gracious behaving a bit of savoir faire, wherever you cross the road. The 17-inch alloy wheels are provided to the 1.8VL trim with tyres of size 2015/50 R17. The other dynamics includes its total length 4615mm, width 1760mm, total height 1496mm and wheelbase 2700mm. Verdict:

If you are judging Nissan Sylphy looking at its predecessors, it is very much different from that predefined lineage. Overall exterior design may not be alluring but flares good safety and interior features looking for a comfy-family car in decent price range.
