Maserati Quattroporte Review 2025

Amidst all the top of the line luxury saloons from its European rivals, the Maserati Quattroporte holds a special place. It is the penultimate saloon for all those driving enthusiasts who prefer holding and controlling steering wheel rather than sitting in the back seat with ease. With a choice of three heart-thrilling engine options, the Maserati Quattroporte is offered in a long list of customization options in and out.

Maserati Quattroporte Interior & Features

On the inside, the Maserati Quattroporte looks as beautiful as it appears when viewed from the outside. Dripped in pure leather upholstery (one does get a number of options to choose from here as well!), the Quattroporte’s cabin is one dream place to be in.

The driver’s cockpit of the Quattroporte consists of a nice looking T-shaped steering wheel with chrome and carbon fiber inserts as well as the nice looking instrument console with a colored MID screen in between. The dashboard gets separated into two partitions with a sleek and wide horizontal layer running in between. It houses rectangular AC vents as well as an analog clock in between, just at the top of the center console.

Talking about the center console, it is dominated by the presence of a large 8.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which gets the assistance of a rather simple looking button panel of automatic climate control below it. The apt use of piano black, carbon fiber, and chrome inserts in just the right amount only enhance the premium experience of the overall cabin.

Quattroporte Exterior

The Maserati Quattroporte has always been one saloon which looks absolutely different from the crowd, and in obvious ways, in a striking fashion. The current generation Maserati Quattroporte might lack the futuristic appeal of its German rivals, but then, its quintessential timeless design is easily the best of the lot.

At the front, the Quattroporte gets Maserati’s traditional scooped-in grille with vertical chrome bars and the trident logo sitting in between. The headlamps might look small, given the wide front fascia of the car, but in terms of functionality, score full marks with their full LED lighting.

The Maserati Quattroporte looks and feels too long when viewed from the side, which gives it a commanding street presence. The three-part air dams on the front fender, a host of alloy wheel designs to choose from and the chrome garnish on door handles and side glass bordering give the Quattroporte an air of premium appeal.

At the rear, the Quattroporte’s design has been tweaked and looks quite fresh, thanks to the revised taillights design. While the chrome garnish on the boot lid gives it a touch of elegance, the presence of quad tailpipe ends on the rear bumper reminds you that this saloon means business.

Maserati Quattroporte Ride & Handling

Like all the Maserati offerings, the Quattroporte also comes with top-notch suspension hardware, although in a more comfortable and softer setting. The flagship saloon comes underpinned with a Skyhook – electronically variable active-damping suspension system with manually adjustable two stiffness levels and dedicated control button. In addition, the suspension also gets the assistance of I.C.E. (Increased Control & Efficiency), which has specific software for the vehicle dynamic management in all conditions and for reduced consumptions.

Quattroporte Engine & Fuel Consumption

For the Malaysian market, Maserati is offering the Quattroporte in only petrol engine options, and you do get two of them. The smaller 3.0-litre V6 petrol engine is available in two states of tune – 350 PS of power and 500 Nm of torque as well as 430 PS of power and 580 Nm of torque. The bigger 3.8-litre twin turbo V8 motor, on the other hand, generates 530 PS of power and 710 Nm of torque. All these engine options do get a common 8-speed ZF automatic gearbox.

Maserati Quattroporte Braking & Safety

Being a flagship saloon, the Quattroporte gets all the modern and sophisticated safety features one could expect from a car of this class. The list of safety features on the Quattroporte includes front, side, curtain, head and knee airbags, blind spot alert, adaptive front lighting system, high pressure front headlamp washing system, auto headlamps, acceleration slip regulation (ASR), antilock braking system (ABS), electronic brake distribution (EBD), Maserati drag torque control (MSR), Brake Assistance System (BAS), Hill Holder, Electronic Parking Brake (EPB), Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) with pressure displayed on central digital cluster, tyre sealing compound and electric air compressor and Cruise Control.

Quattroporte Verdict

With the Quattroporte, Maserati has shown to the world that a flagship saloon can be equally enticing and pampering at the front, as the rear seat experience of all the sedans. The car feels desirable in every aspect one could name – design, performance,  ride, and handling.
