Ferrari GTC 4Lusso T Review 2024
Naza Italia introduced the Ferrari GTC4 Lusso T in Malaysia in 2016, and like any other Ferrari, it was warmly welcomed by the car enthusiasts. It is the second variant of the normally-aspirated GTC4 Lusso which was previously introduced by the company. The latest variant is more of a facelift of the Ferrari FF (just like the previous version). The forced-induction GTC4 T shares the same dimensions as the NA model. The new V8 variant, which sits below the V12 in the model hierarchy, is equipped with a 3.9 litre V8 turbo unit from the F154 engine family, and is more powerful but less torquey than the 6.3-litre V12 engine fitted in the normally-aspirated GTC4 Lusso. The engine is paired with a Getrag seven-speed F1 DCT unit. Like the other F154 engines, the mill features a pair of twin-scroll turbochargers with Variable Boost Management software, which adjusts torque delivery to suit the gear selected. Aside from the engine, the Lusso T also differs from its sibling in some more aspects. It has a rear-wheel drive layout, while the NA variant features a 4RM-S four-wheel drive system. Four-wheel steering is available, but the system is integrated with Side Slip Control (SSC3) on the turbo, while the NA comes with SSC4. However, the interior is identical for both the models. The GTC4 Lusso T badging on the end of the dashboard helps to identify and differentiate the latest model from the NA. The turbocharged, two-door, four-seater has been introduced at the base price of RM1,088,000 (excluding duty and customisation options).

Ferrari GTC 4Lusso T Interior & Features

Ferrari is offering a personalisation programme which allows the clients to customise the interiors as per their own taste and likings.
GTC 4Lusso T Exterior
The exterior looks are quite similar to the V12 GTC4 Lusso and the latest T variant wears the same body. You can spot the same redesigned front bumper and side air-vents (inspired by the 330GTC), blacked out roof, rear spoiler, tail lamps with revised graphics, bumper integrated third brake light and quad exhaust pipes. Just like the V12, the T also rides on 20-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels shod with Michelin Pilot Super Sport tyres, offered as standard - 245/35 at the front and 295/35 at the rear.
Ferrari GTC 4Lusso T Ride & Handling
As compared to the standard GTC4 Lusso, the T’s weight distribution is more rear biased - 46:54 front to rear. Weighing at 1,740 kg, the T is 50kg lighter than its predecessor. Steering activity is reduced by around 2.5 per cent while responsiveness is increased by around 6.5 per cent. All these elements contribute to a more engaging driving experience, a typical Ferrari one. Suspension duties are performed by independent, double wishbones at the front and independent, multi-link at the rear.
GTC 4Lusso T Engine & Fuel Consumption
Powering the GTC4 Lusso T is a 3,855cc, 3.9 litre V8 turbo unit which generates 601hp at 7,500rpm and a peak torque of 760Nm at 3,000 - 5,250rpm. Power is transmitted exclusively to the rear wheels instead of four via a seven-speed F1 dual-clutch automatic setup. The century sprint is completed in 3.5 seconds, all the way to a claimed top speed of over 320 kmph. Ferrari’s innovative technologies such as 4WS or rear-wheel steering and Side Slip Control (SSC3) comes as standard.

Ferrari GTC 4Lusso T Braking & Safety
Braking setup comprises ventilated discs at both the ends, while ABS is offered as standard. There are plenty of additional safety features; the most notable ones are electronic brakeforce distribution, brake assist, hill assist, traction control, rain sensing wipers, cornering lights and engine immobilizer.
GTC 4Lusso T Verdict
The GTC4 Lusso T certainly provides a value proposition to Malaysians especially when our road tax structure is in favour of smaller displacement engines. It is a great upgrade to the earlier variant and if you are willing to spend the bucks attached to it, then there’s nothing like it.
