Ferrari 812 Superfast

Inside the cabin, you will notice that all controls are at a hand’s distance, but only for the driver. There’s none to play with for the passenger. Also, there's no central infotainment, instead, it has a two-screen setup with all the functions. The multi-functional carbon steering wheel feels solid and all the other components pose high-quality material. The styling and design on the outside are led by a brand new bumper, which integrates the active brake duct intakes, just like the F12, near the honeycomb mesh grille. The new LED headlights further accentuate the looks. Also, the 812 Superfast features new heat extractors which eliminate the need for the central extractor. The bodywork has also been revised, with more muscular wheel arches, a new engine cover, and a fresh double tail light assembly. Aerodynamics on the new 812 Superfast has also been updated, with downforce increased by 10 percent.

The handling is improved on the 812 Superfast, owing to the all-new electric power steering (first time ever in a Ferrari), four-wheel steering assistance system and better aerodynamics. Furthermore, Ferrari's patented Side Slip Control (SSC) makes its powerful performance easier to handle. For the first time, the vehicle controls feature the Virtual Short Wheelbase 2.0 system (PCV) that offers nimbleness of the handling and reduces the vehicle response time. The 812 Superfast is very stable and calm on the motorway, however, the steering is very sharp and aggressive. The dry weight of the car is 1,525 kg which is distributed in a ratio of 47:53, front and rear. Suspension setup comprises independent double wishbones up front and independent multi-link at the rear.

The 812 Superfast is powered by a 6496cc, 6.5-litre, naturally-aspirated V12 engine that makes out 789hp of max power at 8,500 rpm and 718Nm of peak torque at 7,000 rpm. 80 percent of the torque is available from 3,500 rpm. These are figures that no other front-engine production car has ever even come near to delivering. The mill is paired with an F1 DCT seven-speed, a dual-clutch gearbox that is said to offer shorter shifting times. The 812 Superfast is insanely quick and reaches 0-100 kmph in merely 2.9 seconds, with a claimed top speed of 340 kmph.

The 812 Superfast is a monster unleashed and needs as good of a punch to stop it. Braking is done by ventilated discs at both the ends, with Brake Assist (BA) and ABS. Furthermore, the Traction Control System (TCS) and Electronic Stability Program (ESP) provide a better on-road grip and stable drive. Other safety features include Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), driver, passenger and side front airbags, engine immobilizer and a rear defogger.
