Poor automatic transmission, hard seats

The Citroën Grand C4 SpaceTourer features a solid 1.6L engine that is very powerful. However, the automatic transmission, which struggles to find the proper gear, makes driving unpleasant. The instrumentation of the car is clear, with a speedometer that displays MPH at a glance, but the whole driving experience was not that good. Comfort is greatly reduced, with the seats giving the feel of hard boards, however adding a 3" foam pad improved things slightly for short trips. Despite adequate room and features, I decided not to purchase another Citroën due to low driving satisfaction.
