The Yamaha TMAX is powered by a 562-cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine generating a maximum power of 47 bhp at 7,500 rpm and a peak torque of 55 Nm at 5,250 rpm.The Yamaha TMAX boasts a dynamic design, highlighted by its bold, angular apron. Key updates to the new TMAX 560 include a new full-colour TFT display, providing riders with clear and intuitive access to essential information and settings. It is mated to the Garmin navigation system, providing riders with real-time directions on their journeys.
The upgraded scooter is also equipped with a traction control system for added safety and stability, especially on challenging roads. Additionally, it features cruise control for maintaining a steady speed without constant throttle input, along with keyless ignition for effortless starting and improved security.
The scooter also benefits from heated seats and grips, which is a rare feature in the scooter segment, providing riders with enhanced comfort in various weather conditions.
The 2024 Yamaha TMAX continues to feature twin-projector headlamps, an electrically adjustable windscreen, a long seat for the rider and pillion’s comfort, an unswept exhaust system, and 15-inch alloy wheels wrapped with 120-section front and 160-section rear rubbers.
Touted as one of the most potent scooters out there, the TMAX is powered by the same tried and tested 562-cc, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected, parallel-twin engine dishing out a maximum power of 47 bhp at 7,500 rpm and a peak torque of 55 Nm at 5,250 rpm. The power is sent to the rear wheel via a V-belt automatic transmission.
Based on the twin-spar diecast aluminium frame, the two-wheeler comes equipped with upside-down forks at the front and an adjustable suspension at the rear. The braking setup comprises 267 mm twin discs at the front and a 282 mm disc at the rear.
Yamaha has yet to reveal the pricing of the new TMAX 560 in Japan. Closer to home, the pre-updated version of the maxi-scooter is offered at RM 74,998 in Malaysia.
