Yamaha Malaysia introduces four new colours for the Y15ZR

KUALA LUMPUR: Yamaha’s popular 150cc moped in Malaysia, the Y15ZR, has received an upgrade in the form of a new colour palette. The new colour range includes - Matte Green, Yellow, Silver, and Orange. 

With this upgrade comes no hike in the 2023 Yamaha Y15ZR price. The local distributor of Yamaha bikes, Hong Leong Yamaha Motor, continues to retail the sporty commuter motorbike at RM 8,998. The price excludes road tax, registration charges, and insurance, however, as a bonus, the automaker offers a complimentary Yamaha disc lock to the customers, which costs RM 100 and adds to the safety and peace of mind. Also included in the price is a two-year or 20,000 km manufacturer warranty.

The Yamaha Y15ZR specifications also remain unchanged for 2023. That means the moped is powered by the same 149.7-cc liquid-cooled, SOHC, single-cylinder which pumps out a maximum power output of 15.4 PS at 8,500 rpm and a peak torque of 13.8 Nm at 7,000 rpm. The power is sent to the ground via the same five-speed transmission paired with chain final drive and multi-plate wet clutch.

On the suspension front, the customers get conventional telescopic front forks and a preload-adjustable rear monoshock. The braking duties are managed by a single hydraulic disc on the front as well as the rear.

Other key features of the 2023 Yamaha Y15ZR are -

• LED headlamps with daytime running lamps 
• Attractive graphics and decals
• Fully digital LCD instrument console, comprising a digital tachometer, gear position indicator, odometer, fuel gauge metre, and a speedometer
• 17-inch wheels wrapped in 90/80 front and 120/70 rear tyre

The 2023 Yamaha Y15ZR decked up in new peppy colours is now available at all authorised Hong Leong Yamaha Motor showrooms nationwide.
