Vespa 946 10th Anniversario special edition scooter arrives in Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR: Vespa has officially introduced the all-new 946 10th Anniversario special edition scooter to the local market. This exclusive Vespa is being offered in a limited quantity of 1000 units globally, with only 20 units up for grabs in Malaysia.

As the name suggests, the limited-edition Vespa scooter commemorates the 10th anniversary of the Vespa 946 series scooters. It is sprayed with a light green tone complemented by sleek black accents, paying homage to the Chinese zodiac's Year of the Rabbit in style. 

The Vespa 946 10° Anniversario edition exclusively comes kitted with 12-inch aluminium alloy split wheel rims with a fin design reminiscent of historic drum brakes, green wheel rim channels, black double-upholstered saddle with burnished stitching, and hand-sewn hand grips.

The scooter has a monocoque body made of sheet steel with aluminium elements. It features an LED headlight with a heat dissipating system, LED tail light and turn indicators, and a full LCD multi-purpose instrument panel. 

At the core of the Vespa 946 10° Anniversario edition scooter lies a 155-cc, single-cylinder, three-valve air-cooled engine, which produces a maximum power of 12.7 hp at 7,750 rpm and a peak torque of 12.8 Nm at 6,500 rpm. The engine promises top-in-class fuel consumption and emissions reduction, claims Vespa.

The special Vespa scooter ensures safety with a 220 mm dual disc brake system and a dual-channel anti-lock braking system. To further enhance stability and control, the vehicle is equipped with an anti-slip regulation traction electronic control system, making every ride safe and secure.

Vespa Malaysia offers this exclusive 10th anniversary model at a price of RM 99,900 (excluding road tax, insurance, and registration). With each model comes a plate stamped with the production number positioned on the front cowl of the cargo compartment.
