Upcoming Suzuki GSX-S150 to cost around RM 10k

KUALA LUMPUR: Suzuki Malaysia is soon going to add a new member S to its range including the GSX-S150. We can see the company dropping teasers every now and then, making us all excited about the launch.

The recent GSX-S 150 teaser, however, got us all excited. Calling the bike the ‘Urban Road Leader’ it gave us a hint about its price tag, i.e., RM 10,XXX.

In the upcoming months, Suzuki Malaysia will introduce three 150cc motorcycles, the GSX-S150, the GSX-R150 and the Belang R150.

Suzuki Malaysia’s teaser journey began last week with the GSX-R150, followed by the GSX-S 150, and now we expect to see the third and final teaser, relating to the Belang R150.

Coming back to the Suzuki bike in question, the GSX-S 150. Powering it will be a 147cc single-cylinder mill making a maximum output of 18.9 hp at 10,500 rpm along with a peak torque of 14 Nm at 9,000 rpm. Thus, coming in the same power bracket as the Yamaha MT-15.

The latter however comes equipped with a USD fork and assist and slipper clutch and costs RM 11,998. So, it is a bit more expensive than the upcoming Suzuki GSX-S150.
