Triumph opens three new showrooms in Malaysia; launches new Street Triple 765 range

KUALA LUMPUR: Triumph is on a roll to expand its footprint in the Malaysian market as it has come up with not one, not two, but three new state-of-the-art motorcycle stores in the country. Strategically located at Batu Caves, Petaling Jaya, and Penang, the new Triumph stores will enhance the brand visibility and offer enthusiasts convenient access to their favourite Triumph bikes. 

The list of three new Triumph showrooms includes -

• Triumph Batu Caves, operated by dealer partner Gene Advance Sdn Bhd.
• Triumph Petaling Jaya, operated by Goh Brothers Motorcycles Sdn Bhd
• Triumph Penang (launch scheduled for tomorrow) 

Upon launching three new showrooms, Triumph Motorcycles Ltd, United Kingdom chief commercial officer Paul Stroud expressed his pleasure and thanked Didi Automotive (local importer and distributor of Triumph Motorcycles in Malaysia) for their noteworthy investment in the brand.

He said, “We are very much looking forward to our partnership with Didi within Malaysia, and to creating the opportunity for many more motorcycle fans to experience Triumph, and join our family of loyal fans across the world.”

The new Triumph stores promise state-of-the-art facilities with the highest level of Service, After Sales, and Customer Care. The stores are managed by highly trained personnel.

During the launch of the second showroom in Petaling Jaya, Triumph also introduced the new Street Triple 765 motorcycle range on the local shores. It included two brand-new models - 

• 2023 Triumph Street Triple 765 R, priced at RM 59,900 
• 2023 Triumph Street Triple 765 RS, priced at RM 73,900

The R trim is powered by a 765-cc DOHC inline three-cylinder engine that kicks out a maximum power of 120 PS and a peak torque of 80 Nm. The same engine in the more powerful RS is tuned to produce 130 PS and 80 Nm. The transmission duties are handled by a six-speed gearbox mated to a chain final drive system.

The latest Street Triple 765 range will be joined by the Street Triple 765 Moto2 Edition tomorrow when the company will open the doors of the new Triumph Penang store.
