Say hello to the Ducati Diavel 1260 Lamborghini motorbike
KUALA LUMPUR: Whether it is a car or motorcycle, the Italian automakers inject their fiery passion into the vehicle they create. And, the Ducati Diavel 1260 Lamborghini is the most recent example of that, for which the two Italian automotive icons - Lamborghini and Ducati came together. As a limited edition of Ducati’s power cruise, the unique motorbike celebrates the technology and style of the two brands.
To create this model, the striking design of the Lamborghini Sián FKP 37 has been fused with the dynamic structure of the Ducati Diavel 1260 S and the result looks far more aggressive than the standard bike. The new motorbike equips a series of super sports car-inspired features such as the new lightweight forged wheel rims and carbon fibre air intakes, radiator, silencer, and tank covers, as well as front and rear mudguards.
The green and gold livery of the bike comes straight from the Lamborghini model featuring the Gea Green body with an Electrum Gold frame. The car’s striking Y-shaped headlamps and hexagonal exhaust tips are also carried over on the motorbike in the form of the saddle’s y-shaped trims and the hexagonal mufflers. The number ‘63’ placed on the Diavel’s semi-fairing pays homage to Lamborghini’s founding year, that is 1963.
Other key highlights comprise a 3.5-inch digital instrument panel, a multimedia system with smartphone integration, and a Quick Shift system.
“In creating a Diavel inspired by the Sian, we are celebrating the values we share with Lamborghini: we are Italian, we are sporty, and design is a distinctive element for our creations,” says Andrea Ferraresi, Director of the Centro Stile Ducati. “The Diavel 1260 Lamborghini was designed using the same stylistic language that distinguishes the super sports car, so we have redesigned the elements that most characterize the Diavel.”
Powering the Ducati Diavel 1260 Lamborghini is the standard bike’s 1.3-litre engine producing 162 PS of maximum power and 129 Nm of peak torque. As for suspension and braking, it gets a fully adjustable Öhlins suspension, a single-sided aluminum swingarm, and a Brembo braking system.
With a limited production of 630 units, the Ducati Diavel 1260 Lamborghini will be available in the showrooms from December.
