Price announcement: 2021 Triumph Speed Twin starts at RM 77,900

KUALA LUMPUR: It was only a while back that Triumph Speed Twin made its global debut and now we have its local price list in hand. Seems like Malaysia is catching up with the international markets at a faster pace than before.

2021 Triumph Speed Twin price -

The new Speed Twin in Jet Black tone can be yours for RM 77,900. However, customers interested in getting their hands on more premium hues, Red Hopper or Matt Storm Grey, will be required to pay an additional RM 1000.

Note, the price excludes registration, road tax, and insurance.

2021 Triumph Speed Twin early bird offer -

Yes, there is an early bird offer by Triumph Motorcycle Malaysia. Great, isn't it? The customers making a booking for the new Speed Twin before 15th July 2021 will receive a 35% discount on the brand's official accessories and two complimentary lube services. Also, part of the early bird package is one of the three complementary kits of choice from protection to styling items.

2021 Triumph Speed Twin highlights -

The new Speed Twin benefits from upgraded looks, higher performance, updated riding technology, and improved handling. This new roadster showcases the classic design DNA of Triumph Motorcycles new and old elements like - new twin exhaust silencers, new 17-inch 12-spoke wheels with Metzeler Racetec RR rubbers, new graphics, and the brand's signature-shaped 14.5-litre fuel tank with knee indents.

2021 Triumph Speed Twin powertrain -

The new Speed Twin is powered by a heavily-updated 1200cc High Power Bonneville twin engine that makes a maximum power of 100 PS at 7250 rpm along with a peak torque of 112 Nm. Compared to the previous-gen model, this one makes 3 PS more power and is now EURO-5 compliant.

Furthermore, the new Speed Twin comes with updated parts that call for better handling. It features - new lightweight crankshaft and alternator, a set of Brembo M50 four-piston monobloc calipers handling the front 320 mm disc brakes, and Marzocchi USD 43 mm front forks with cartridge damping.

New Speed Twin high-spec standard equipment list includes -

• Switchable traction control
• Upgraded selectable riding modes (Road, Sport, and Rain)
