KUALA LUMPUR: There is something interesting about the new Ottimo Technologies Sdn Bhd. To begin with, it is led by a CEO from Accountancy background and has been dealing with the manufacturing business for years. Mr Chong Kian Boon, along with a group of motorcycle passionate individuals, succeeded in taking the first step in the industry.
Mount Jerai, a place with a stunning view of the Kedahan coast, witnessed the official launch of the Ottimo Viz110, the newest bike in Malaysia. It is offered at RM 4,288 with two color choices - Syinta Red and Syantik Blue.
The casual sports commuter gets a 107 cc, Euro-3 compliant, single-cylinder engine that churns out 6.7 hp at 7,500 rpm and 6.9 Nm of highest torque at 6,000 rpm. The engine has both kick-start or power-start ignition. The power, produced by the engine, is transmitted through an automatic gearbox.

The Ottimo Viz110 scooter is provided with a small 6-litre under-seat storage space, which might be caused by the 3.6-litre fuel tank that is present in the same place. Other than the regular bits, the scooter also offers special features, such as an LED daytime running lights (DRLs) that add a cool look it and also aid road safety. The turn signals are also LED unit, which is seldom seen in scooters in this range. Apart from these, there is a USB port and a slot to hold a phone while it is being charged.
