New scooters in two, BMW launches 2021 C 400 X and C 400 GT

KUALA LUMPUR: Looks like BMW Motorrad Malaysia has big plans for the local market, as together with the new R 1250 GS and G 310 motorcycles, it has launched new scooters too - the 2021 BMW C 400 X and C 400 GT.

These two scooters will serve the needs of customers looking for premium-looking urban-mobility options. The new C 400 models bring along revised power delivery, design, internal bits, and stopping performance. No matter if you are cruising around the city, highway, or through borders, these scooters will offer elevated performance.

Wondering which one to buy - the C 400 X or C 400 GT? Well, the former is more suited for riders looking for a companion to cruise around urban cities. The latter is preferred by riders who love spending time on open roads and highways, as it offers better comfort thanks to the ergonomic seats, large front fairing and integrated footboard.

As for the aesthetics, the new C 400 X features the signature large asymmetric LED headlight. The C 400 GT, on the other hand, displays a very modern and aggressive twin-light setup. For better safety and visibility, the scooters get additional DRLs.

What else? Both the scooters benefit from the Flexcase features - an under-seat lighting system for better visibility, a 12V socket, and two USB charging sockets (under the seat and front storage compartment.

The new BMW C 400 scooters are powered by a 350cc single-cylinder mill that generates a maximum power of 34 hp along with a peak torque of 35 Nm. While the bikes overall optimisation of power is improved via E-gas (electronic throttle grip), the powertrain is enhanced for better power delivery and stability.

Wait, there is more! The scooters also benefit from an upgraded automatic stability control, 6.5-inch full-colour TFT screen, new brake system with ABS, keyless ride feature, and BMW Motorrad Connected App+, and much more.

Exterior colour options -

BMW C 400 X is offered in Black Strom, while the C 400 GT is available in Callisto Grey and Alpine White tones.

Price

The all-new 2021 BMW C 400 X and C 400 GT retails for RM 44,500 and RM 48,500, respectively.
