New range of KTM Duke bikes launched in Malaysia; starting from RM 22,800

KUALA LUMPUR: It's a moment of rejoicing for KTM fans as the Austrian bikemaker launched a whole new range of Duke motorcycles in Malaysia. Among the newly launched KTM naked bikes are - the new 250 Duke, new 390 Duke, 990 Duke, and 1390 Super Duke R.

Known for its raw performance and bold design, the iconic Duke lineup has completed 30 years of redefining the standards of street motorcycles.

2024 KTM 250 Duke

The all-new 2024 KTM 250 Duke features a bold and powerful spirit as its larger counterparts in the Duke family. It boasts a muscular and aggressive stance with a new 2-piece steel trellis frame and an upgraded suspension package, ensuring stability and control on various road conditions. 

The bike is powered by a 250-cc Euro 5.2 compliant engine 1-cylinder, 4-stroke liquid-cooled engine which generates a maximum power of 30.8 hp and a peak torque of 25 Nm. It is mated to an improved 6-speed gearbox and the new Power Assist Slipper Clutch (PASC) system.

The 2024 KTM 250 Duke is available in two colour options - Electronic Orange and Ceramic White.

2024 KTM 390 Duke

The all-new 2024 KTM 390 Duke comes with aggressive and eye-catching aesthetics. It also features a completely new two-piece steel trellis main frame with aluminium subframe.

In place of a 373cc engine, the bike is now powered by a 398.7-cc  Euro 5.2 unit producing slightly higher levels. It makes 44.25 hp (up by 0.25 hp) and 39 Nm (up by 2 Nm). The power is sent to the wheels via an improved 6-speed transmission paired with a Power Assist Slipper Clutch system.

Among the other key highlights of the 2024 KTM 390 Duke are -

• New headlight cluster
• Newly designed curved aluminium swingarm
• New 5-inch TFT-LCD display with a new Track mode, which activates the Launch Control feature
• Two street modes - Street and Rain

• Single 320 mm disc with four-piston calliper at the front and a 240mm disc at the rear.

The 2024 KTM 390 Duke is available in two colour options - Electronic Orange and Atlantic Blue.

2024 KTM 990 Duke

The all-new 2024 KTM 990 Duke is crafted to be lightweight and sharp, making it the most performance-focused mid-class naked bike under the Duke nameplate. The bike underpins a new steel trellis frame and comes equipped with an LC8c 947-cc 2-cylinder, 4-stroke, parallel twin engine which kicks out a maximum power of 123 hp and a peak torque of 103 Nm. The engine features new pistons, crankshaft and connecting rods and comes paired with a 6-speed gearbox and a new exhaust system.

2024 KTM 1390 Super Duke R

Touted as the alpha of the naked bike range, the all-new 2024 KTM 1390 Super Duke R looks bold and aggressive thanks to its menacing front-end streamlined bodywork. It features a new tank design and new aero winglets. It is powered by a revised LC8 V-twin Euro 5+ engine kicking out a whopping power of 190 hp and a peak torque of 145 Nm.
