New Kawasaki 4S centre opens in Kuching, Sarawak
KUALA LUMPUR: The wholly-owned subsidiary of Modenas bikes in Malaysia, Edaran Modenas Sdn Bhd (EMOS), has recently inaugurated its third flagship 4S centre, Kawasaki Kuching, in Kuching, Sarawak. The new centre is operated by Ghee Hua Co Sdn Bhd, one of the brand's longest and most significant authorised dealers in the Kuching region.

Just like other Kawasaki All Star flagship 4S centres. it also adheres to the design and construction standards of Kawasaki Plazas in Japan, prioritising product display and visual merchandising.
The ceremony was officiated by Law Kin Hin, director of Kawasaki Kuching and Ghee Hua Group, and Roslan Roskan, CEO of Modenas. YB Dato Sri Abd Karim Rahman Hamzah, Minister for Tourism, Creative Industry & Performing Arts Sarawak, also graced the occasion with his presence.
Established in 1968, Ghee Hua evolved from a bicycle retailer to a motorcycle distributor in 1970. In 2021, it became an official distributor for Kawasaki. Before that, it had been a trusted MODENAS partner since August 2000, contributing significantly to MODENAS' business and product promotion over the past 24 years.
A total of 700 attendees witnessed the launch of the new Kawasaki 4S centre and enjoyed several thrilling activities, including a motor show and Sarawakian cultural activities like bertandak bermukun and kompang performances. The presence of club members, who actively participated in cooking local Sarawakian dishes, further contributed to this memorable and culturally vibrant celebration.
With the expansion of its footprint in Kuching, EMOS anticipates a thriving market for Kawasaki and Modenas bikes and scooters in Sabah and Sarawak. The company plans to increase the number of Kawasaki 4S centres to 10 and appoint 5 additional All-Star Dealers in 2024.
