Moto Guzzi V7 III Carbon arrives in Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR: Moto Guzzi Malaysia has launched the V7 III Carbon which is an upgraded version of the standard V7 III. This new model is aesthetically racier and boasts of improved performance. The all-new V7 III Carbon was launched at the showroom in The Gasket Alley in Petaling Jaya.

As the name suggests, the new model is distinguished by the carbon fibre components. The short fenders, side fairings, and mudguards also get carbon components. The matte black colour with starkly contrasting red cylinder head covers on the engine is eye-catching.
The V7 III Carbon’s seats also get a distinguished look with uncanny red stitching. The seat is made of water-repellent Alcantara leather. The bike gets several unique design features such as the headlight frame, injector covers, and tank cap which is made from anodised black billet aluminium.

The bike is powered by an air-cooled transverse V-twin 744 cc engine capable of delivering 52 hp at 6,200 rpm and 60 Nm of torque at 4,900 rpm. The power is transferred to the rear wheel using a six-speed transmission with longer first and last gears to leverage the torque of the engine.

The safety features include 320 mm disc brake at the front with Brembo calliper and ABS as standard. At the rear, there is a 260mm disc brake and a master cylinder with a built-in reservoir. The V7 III Carbon also gets Moto Guzzi Traction Control system which can be adjusted to two sensitivity levels or turned off entirely as well. The seating position is commanding as commonly seen in this category of motorcycles. The steel frame and reworked front end maintains a steady feel at high speeds and in corners. The non-adjustable fork with 5.1-inch of travel helps reduce the shocks, while the rear gets a Kayaba shocks with 3.8-inch of travel.

Moto Guzzi V7 III Carbon is a limited edition bike, and only 1921 units will be manufactured worldwide. The starting price for the Stone variant is RM 63,113 which goes all the way up to RM 76,321 for the Anniversario. The V7 III Carbon is available for viewing at the aforementioned showroom.
