Moto Guzzi teases the very special V100 Mandello
KUALA LUMPUR: This year marks Moto Guzzi's 100th anniversary in the motorcycle business. And to celebrate this historic occasion the brand is all set to introduce a very special model called the Moto Guzzi V100 Mandello.
Note the name ‘Mandello’ comes from a little northern Italy town, Mandello del Lario that has been Moto Guzzi's home since 1921.
The said motorcycle was recently teased by the brand and therefore we know how it will look. The Moto Guzzi V100 Mandello is a modern-retro looking motorcycle with the brand's futuristic features. It is also being said to be powered by a new V-twin mill with state-of-the-art water cooling capabilities.
Now the highlight here is the moving body panels on this sport tourer that Moto Guzzi explains are 'active' aerodynamic parts. We aren't fully sure what they'll do, but by the looks of it they offer additional comfort and wind protection to the riders when they are out spinning on the highway.
The Moto Guzzi V100 Mandello is expected to benefit from the latest electronic riding aids like - cornering ABS, Pirelli Diablo Rosso tyres, selectable traction control, Brembo brakes, and more.
Furthermore, its large front end suggests a radar-operated unit. What's for sure, however, is that it will be offered in two colour tones, as can be seen in the images.
All we can only speculate at the moment, the actual picture will get clear with the V100 Mandello's launch that is scheduled for November, during the EICMA 2021.
