MODENAS enters Malaysia Book of Records; here’s why

KUALA LUMPUR: Motosikal dan Enjin Nasional Sdn Bhd (MODENAS) has made it to the prestigious Malaysia Book of Records. For? It rests under the title ‘Longest Distance Covered by a Motorcycle Convoy in 24 Hours’.

MODENAS completed the record-breaking convoy in collaboration with DC Project, its Dominar D400 owners club.

Here’s a bit about the MODENAS record-breaking convoy -

• The convoy was flagged off by Roslan Roskan, MODENAS Chief Executive Officer
• The troop left Shah Alam on 1st October at 9:40 a.m. and ended its journey the next day at 9:15 a.m. (from Kedah to Sungai Besi, Kuala Lumpur, Johor Bahru, and Glenmarie)
• The group consisted of 25 Dominar D400 and 7 Pulsar NS200
• The gruelling journey covered a distance of 1,642 kilometers in just 23 hours and 5 minutes
• Leading the record-breaking convoy was Muhammad Adib Bin Rapia’e, DC Project’s president

On the exciting journey, the troop embarked Muhammad Adib said, “It was pouring rain all the way from Kedah to Johor and I’m happy for the stability of the Dominar D400, despite occasional hydroplaning and people in cars staring at us for riding in the rain at 110km/h, our group found this part of the ride was relaxing. Thank you, MODENAS, for having pre-fitted ABS into both Dominar D400 and Pulsar NS200 models. Overall, the ride was smooth and full of memorable moments. It has solidified our friendship towards completing the national record challenge.”

Roslan Roskan, MODENAS Chief Executive Officer said, "This is the second time for MODENAS to organize a 24-hour, 1600KM endurance ride and through this successful collaboration, the event managed to set a new Malaysia Book of Records attempt for the “Longest Distance Covered by A Motorcycle Convoy In 24 Hours”. Congratulations to all 32 riders in completing the challenge. Even though I know for a fact that the group did not have much time to appreciate each state, nevertheless I truly hope that they have had an amazing sense of achievement and joy in completing the ride.”
