Malaysia gets the all-new 2022 Honda CB250R; check full details

KUALA LUMPUR: Good news riders, Boon Siew Honda Malaysia, the official distributor of Honda bikes in the country has introduced a brand new model. Called the 2022 CB250R, it is a lightweight ‘Neo Sports Cafe’ motorcycle.

Honda Malaysia launched the CB250R quite a few years back with the motorcycle receiving its last update in 2019. As for the model year 2022, the latest Honda comes with urban youth attracting design and features.

The 2022 Honda CB250R specs sheet includes -

• A more modern look & feel
• An LCD display
• Clear & easy to read gear positioning indicator
• Full LED circular headlight with a dual-bar light signature
• Razor-thin tail light
• Two-channel ABS managed by an Inertial Measurement Unit (adding to rider’s confidence via excellent control during braking)

Taking care of the motorcycle’s handling is its upgraded front suspension for precision handling ability - 41mm Showa Separate Function Front Forks and Big Piston USD rear forks that provide superb bump absorption along with front-end feel. Also, the assist/slipper clutch works on reducing the operating load of the clutch lever and the slipper function reduces rear wheel hopping, all leading to a smoother and more comfortable ride.

Braking duty is performed by 296 mm Hubless Floating Disc with Radial-mount Nissin 2-piston Caliper, ABS on the front wheel and 220mm Hydraulic Single Disc with 1-piston Caliper, ABS on the rear wheel.

What powers the all-new Honda CB250R?

Powering the latest Honda is a 250 cc liquid-cooled, 4 stroke, DOHC mill generating maximum power of 27.2 hp at 9,500 rpm along with a peak torque of 23.4 Nm at 7,750 rpm. The drive is sent to the wheels via a constant mesh, 6-speed gearbox.

Honda Malaysia is offering the new CB250R in two colour options - Candy Chromosphere and Matt Gun Powder Black Metallic. The motorcycle retails for RM 23,999, on-the-road without insurance.
